Lacy Birthday Wishes

Stamp Simply Challenge Number 98 calls for lace! We're to use a lacy addition, anything from the real thing, to suggested lace. I decided to go for the real thing!

I'm also using Our Daily Bread Design's Birthday sentiment and Psalm Bible verse that are included in their August 1st release: Happy Birthday!

I began with Cosmo Cricket's Happily Ever After designer paper...what a lovely old fashioned feel it brings with the lace! I covered both the front and inside of my long card with the dp, then layered Wright's Flat Cluny Edge lace and PaperTrey Ink's Aqua Mist grosgrain across the front.

I took a small piece of the lace and threaded narrow ribbon thru the edge, then pulled the lace into a flower shape and tied the ribbon tight. A JoAnn's Vintage Alpha Charm finishes the flower with the birthday gal's initial.

My birthday sentiment and Psalm 415:15 Bible verse were stamped with Versafine Sepia onto Neenah Natural White cardstock, then heat embossed with SU Clear EP. The die cut used is Spellbinder's Label Four.

If you would like to see more lacy creations, check out the rest of the Stamp Simply designs:

That Cosmo Cricket is perfect with the vintage-feel of the lace, and I LOVE what you did to create the flower! I'm going to have to try that sometime, 'cause I love the look of little fabric flowers on designs! Beautiful card, Deb!
