Three's a Crowd

This week's Stamp Simply Challenge (ssnotime149) was suggested by team member Deb Neerman: "Three's a Crowd"--to use two of anything in your design...not three, or four...just two.

I'm also submitting this card for The Shabby Tea Room's weekly challenge: "From the Garden."

My two items are two different layers (of two different papers) and two stamped images.

I stamped Stampin' Up's "Homegrown" artichoke image onto PaperTrey Ink's "Rustic Cream" cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Multiple Copic Sketch markers were used to color and shade the artichoke.

After coloring the artichoke, I die cut it with a Spellbinder Classic Square die (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store).

The crisp and summery decorator paper used for the base and background is Basic Grey's "Garden Variety"...available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I then created a frame for my image with the next two larger square dies. I laid the two dies onto the green dp and taped them down, just to hold them into place before running them through the CuttleBug.

After making the frame from the green paper, I layered it with some of the rustic cream cardstock. Dimensional tape was then used to pop the frame up.

Additional touches: May Art's Natural Twine, along with a Stampin' Up's "Mini Vintage Tag" stamped with a Stampin' Up "Rough Type" letter /a/.

Be sure to visit the following Stamp Simply Challenge team members to see what they have for this week's "Three's a Crowd":

Wow I love this card. I would have never used an artichoke image all by its self. What a great idea. I learn so much looking at others cards. TFS
