My New Stamping Space

Hello! I'm a very busy lady this week, and I wanted to show you why...my new stamping space is finally finished!!! I am so very excited to begin moving in!

It's a lovely, light filled space (this pic was taken while quite overcast and rainy), and measures 13' X 15', windows facing south and west.

Here it is...

We decided to add an addition onto our home. The house was originally built in the early 1900s when my husband's grandparents arrived from Finland.

My husband, along with the help of my father, sons, and friends, built the entire add on--doing everything, from the foundation...up! We began in the late summer, 2008.

The space includes: my "studio" (which will become our bedroom when we become elderly), a bathroom, pantry, laundry room, sauna, and full woodworking shop in the basement below for my husband.

Our intent was to create new workspace now, which will one day becoming one level living for when we are elderly.

The view to my garden and closet with no doors.

We tried to maintain a vintage feel by using old, reclaimed doors, knobs and hardware...all which my husband worked so very hard to make suitable! He did a great job!!!

I'll be showing you more pics of the space after it is filled, as well as of the rest of the new rooms.

Now you can see why I will not be posting as much in the near future, though I will be back on Wednesday for my "Every Wednesday in August" blog candy drawing, and on Friday for the Stamp Simply Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am so very happy and delighted for you. I know that you will enjoy your room and find a new spirit of creativity. We are looking to buy a second home for our senior years and the single story is an absolute must, so you are both very wise in what you did. Blessings
