Shabby Tea Room Challenge Guest Designer: White and Bright!

I'm so very excited to be the guest designer over at the Shabby Tea Room's weekly challenge...this week: Challenge #45--"White and Bright!"  Our challenge: use white or cream, along with one other color...taking into consideration the inspiration photo shown below.

Be sure to check out this link for the challenge requirements and beautiful inspiration photos from the Shabby Tea Room designers and challenge players!
I hope that YOU get a chance to play along with us this week!

Here's the inspiration photo that was provided:

Isn't this a lovely table setting?
Yellow is one of my favorite colors,
as is a monochromatic design scheme.

Here's my design for the "White and Bright" Challenge:

My design features JustRite's brand new January release "Beautiful Day Set," available from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

What a fun and easy set to Copic color! Since my design colors were somewhat muted and mellow, I wanted to create a "washed out" and soft feel with the floral colors.

Take a look at some of the close up details...the textured banana yellow background created with my CuttleBug...layers of snow white vellum peeking through...the floral image framed out with Spellbinder's Petite Oval dies, topped with a tiny touch from JustRite Custom Dies, layered with a KaiserCraft self stick pearl.                                                   Oh, and I must not forget the lacy trim from Webster's Pages "WonderFall"  trim pack, encrusted with more tiny KaiserCraft pearls.

The frosting on this cake is a pretty silken May Art's Bow, all tied up using a Bow Easy!

Most all of the supplies listed above can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today, and have a wonderful week!
