LaBlanche Tulips in Butterfly Garden

Just wanted to let you know that Sharon has stocked a new shipment of LaBlanche loveliness into the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

I do love a good image for coloring...and this is one! It's LaBlanche's "Tulip Script." I used Copic Sketch markers here, but Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol would work fabulously as well. You've heard me say this before, but let me repeat...LaBlanche stamps are so very easy to color...they provide all of the shading, built right in! Layer in multiple colors, and you can hardly go wrong!

"Butterfly Garden" 6 X 6" decorator paper, and a "Butterfly Garden Clear Pop" butterfly were used from the gorgeous Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden line. The entire line has a natural, vintage and pretty feel, right up my alley!

All products (minus Copic markers) used are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

REMINDER: The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Prima Blog Hop is still on...if you haven't checked it out...better do so soon...it involves something SWEET!

Stamp Simply with Prima Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Prima Blog Hop!

We're so very excited to show you everything Prima~~from blossoms to papers~~! Plus...blog candy...who can resist?

It's mystery blog candy, meaning the winner will be chosen from a comment left on one of our blogs, so commenting on all blogs gives you the best chance to win. The winner will be selected Friday night at 6 p.m. and announced on Sharon's blog on Saturday.

Now, onto my design...I began by choosing Prima's "Botanical" 6 X 6" paper pad...filled with 24 patterned paper designs, 2 pieces per design. Such soft and muted prints!

The pad comes complete with two pages of tags, one you can see that I've used in my design. I've also covered two pieces of chipboard with the paper, layering the "J" for Joy over the tag.

Prima's "Botanical" is matched up with some gorgeous Prima Blossoms: "Sugar Blooms Botanical" (the blue and gold blossom used here, comes edged in gold), as well as the other gorgeous items (butterflies too!) found here.

TIP: I edged the smaller Prima "Fairytale Roses French White" with a Copic Sketch marker for a touch of blue. Keep a package of these blossoms on hand...they're a fantastic way to match your design perfectly!

A Bow Easy fashioned May Art's Silk Ribbon bow, along with chunky, sugared glitter, finalizes my design.

Also, JustRite and Spellbinders are on sale over at Stamp Simply...make certain you check that out as well!

Make sure that you hop on over to the rest of the ladies blogs:

Deb Saaranen (you're here!)
Michelle Woerner

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to leave comments on all of the blogs for your best chance at the blog candy!

New LaBlanche Release...Kingfisher

As promised...here is another of LaBlanche's new releases for this month...a shabby, distressed design featuring their new kingfisher stamp.

I stamped the kingfisher with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with various Copic Sketch Markers. Spellbinder Petite Ovals were used to frame out the image. If you are interested in being placed on a waiting list for this image, please email Sharon (ssj@up.net) at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

A bit of May Art's Ivory 1/4" Silk finishes this design.

All products (minus the Copics) are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Have a marvelous weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

New LaBlanche Release Text

Greetings from Washington D.C.! I am finally getting settled and am able to have a bit of creative time. Talk about the country mouse coming to the city...the museums, galleries, restaurants...FABULOUS!

I wanted to show you another new release from LaBlanche, available the middle of this month--this text stamp is perfect for a background, or focal image as in this case.

The background paper used here is Webster's Pages "Spring Market/Yacht Club/Country Estate" papers, available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I think that this is my all time favorite Webster's Pages paper so far...I love the mix of floral, seaside and fruity prints!

Prima's "Delightful Day Hush" blossoms top off a May Art's Silk Ribbon bow, fashioned with a Bow Easy.

A border of May Art's Natural 5/8" lace, threaded thru with 1/4" Ivory May Art's Silk ribbon (dyed with a Copic Sketch marker), provides additional dimension and texture to the background panel.

If you are interested in being placed on a waiting list for this stamp, please email Sharon at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (ssj@up.net).  Also, there is a ribbon sale going on (by the spool) over at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store--check it out before June 12th!

Just wanted to close with a couple of shots that I took while visiting the Library of Congress...

The Capitol from the Library of Congress

The Library of Congress...check out the beautifully hand placed tile ceilings and floors! Gorgeous!

Have a wonderful remainder to your week! I'll be back with one more LaBlanche preview in the next day or two!
