Hanging Christmas Decor

I've been playing with some Melissa Frances products from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store...

I made a sign using a Melissa Frances "Backdrops Chipboard Label." The chipboard comes in a packet of three (7 X 9"), making it possible to make up a chipboard album or sign.

I also used a Melissa Frances "Decorative Scroll Clip Hanger," perfect for making up a hanging sign with no fuss at all.

Since I rarely can get a great picture of something hanging, here is  a closeup of the sign without the hanger:

The sign is covered with Kaisercraft "Twig and Berry" decorator paper (6.5 inch pad). The sentiment cut out is also from the same Kaisercraft pad and attached with a Tim Holtz "Idea-ology Memo Pin."

I pieced the background papers to make a patchwork design for the initial layer on the chipboard. I followed with the December calendar page (also from the same Twig and Berry pad) for the next layer. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad in "Tea Dye" for a bit of sponged distressing.

Accents include: May Art's Striped Ribbon, retired Spellbinders Poinsettia die blooms (similar HERE), Martha Stewart punched snowflakes, Michael's Store brads, and a pearl swirl from my stash (similar HERE) tinted to a more creamy color with a Copic Sketch marker.

Edited to Add: Oops! I forgot to mention using the Bigger Bow Easy for this project! It makes beautiful, full and large bigger bows...perfect for wreaths or Christmas decor! Had to add it on here so you would be sure to check it out!

So, be it an album or decor, please consider this sturdy pallet as a base for your next project!

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Have a great weekend!
