Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style: Masculine

We've come up with some masculine inspiration for you this week! Sharon has set up a Masculine section (listed under Occasions) in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store...all for your shopping ease! Check it out HERE.

Here's my design today:

I began by inking up JustRite's new "Seashell Bay Labels Twenty Two" seahorse image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copic Sketch markers. "Seashell Bay" matches Spellbinders "Labels Twenty Two" dies, just as the name implies, and makes for a swift and clean image panel.

I used Bo Bunny's "Timepiece" decorator paper, but did overstamp it with JustRite's new "Chevron Background Stamp." JustRite has a passel of new background stamps...see them HERE.  May Art's Natural Burlap String and a vintage button add a simple touch (keeping that man in mind).

All supplies (minus the Copics) are available from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

And...

As always, this is a Mystery Blog Candy, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, February 28 and will be posted here on Sharon's blog on Wednesday or thereafter.

You must check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner!

Good luck!

Our Daily Bread Designs and The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is so very pleased to announce that they will be carrying Our Daily Bread Designs stamps! Our Daily Bread Designs feature Christian themed stamps and Bible verses, all fabulous to use! I love the deeply etched red rubber stamps that stamp marvelously...crisp, clean images. They are cling stamps, so they are easy to store.

My design for today features ODBD's set "Light of the World." This set makes for an excellent masculine set...birthday, "Hello," almost any occasion.

I stamped the lighthouse image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, suitable for Copic coloring use. I did Copic color the image, but have also watercolored the background, as shown in the older design below. "My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Breeze" decorator paper, along with black cardstock makes for a frame for the image panel.  Tiny black brads from my stash add an additional touch.

Here's an oldie but goodie, made while I was a designer at Splitcoaststampers:

As you can see, I really like the black and blue combo for these lighthouse cards...LOL!

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper, then watercolored the background. Then, I stamped the image onto creamy cardstock, colored it with Copics, and paper pieced it onto the watercolor background.

A border of May Art's black Striped ribbon, threaded through with some hardware, adds a dash of interest.

Spellbinder Classic Oval dies were used for the top card, and Petite Ovals were used for the bottom card (check with Sharon for availability).

This is a mini hop, please check out the other gal's ODBD stamp designs as well:

Time once again for Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style! We're putting the focus on Springtime designs this weekend...

I've chosen to use the LaBlanche "Rabbits with Daffodils" image, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, and die cut with Spellbinder's Petite Oval and Petite Oval Scalloped dies (check with Sharon for availability).

Designer paper for today: Kaisercraft's "Nan's Favourites."

May Art's Ric Rac and Wrinkled Ribbon add the final touches in my design.

All supplies (minus Copics) are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

And, once again, this is a Mystery Hop:

The border set that I've chosen to use today is Our Daily Bread Designs "Vine Borders."

This set was designed to use with both Three and Four Scripture Collections...I used a verse from "Scripture Collection 3."

{Love} My Mind's Eye Lost and Found "Blush" 6 X 6" paper pad, also from Our Daily Bread Designs. This pad is primarily in rosy tones, although I did find a print included that is a soft aqua color.

Here's a closeup look at the scripture and vine border. I stamped the border with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then added a bit of shading with Copic Sketch markers. A vintage button with a bit of ribbon adds the final accent. The entire design is fairly flat, perfect for mailing.

If you've arrived from Betty's blog,
you're progressing along the hop just fine--

next up: LORI!

Thanks so much for stopping by for the hop...remember if you get lost, head back to the ODBD blog to continue down the list!

Sweet Nothings Mini Album

Here is the promised mini album, using Kaisercraft's "Sweet Nothings" decorator paper. Sweet Nothings is an exceptional pad...I was drawn to most every print! The paper is layered over  Kaisercraft's "Beyond the Page Mini Alumn #2."

Here's a photo of another Kaisercraft Beyond the Page Album: "Mini Album #1."

You can find all of Kaisercraft's Beyond the Page items HERE.

The cover is decorated with an "envelope" die cut from the Sweet Nothings pad, accented by a May Art's Silk Bow, tied with a Bow Easy; "Vintage Inspired Netting"; Prima Audrey Rose blossom; and resin Melissa Frances "Soaring High" bird.

A few notes: the Prima Audrey Rose in Tan matches the May Art's Champagne ribbon perfectly! I painted the resin bird with a bit of cream acrylic paint, then rubbed it off before it dried. The bird is sold in white.

This little flip layer, decorated with more Vintage Inspired Netting, along with a Bo Bunny "Gabrielle Trinkets" cameo, is die cut from Spellbinders "Labels Twenty Two" die. Perfect for a little photo mounted on the back to view as it flips over...

See the music border? The Sweet Nothings pad also has numerous die cut borders included. The pearly accent is from my stash (sorry, no name--no package), but you can find one similar HERE.

I think that this is my favorite print design in the entire pad...I love this cloudy sky, along with the perfect dove. A little rhinestone heart, "Prima Vintage Trinkets Tiny Treasures XXOO Hearts," tied off with May Art's Silk ribbon adds a bit of shine.

Here's a final closeup. Hope you enjoyed this mini album!

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for stopping by!

Check back tomorrow for an Our Daily Bread Designs Alumni hop, and Saturday for another

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style--Cool Blue

This week's Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style features ribbons in crisp, icy, COOL blue!

Kaisercraft's "Sweet Nothings" decorator paper is so very lovely~~ look for a future mini album soon to come! This card is purposefully very simple...I just didn't want to cover up the pretty print!

All that was needed to dress up this design was a May Art's Silk Bow tied with a Bow Easy, layered over May Art's 5/8" Crochet Lace threaded through with a May Art's narrow Silk piece of ribbon. Last pretty:  Prima "Vintage Tiny Treasures XO Hearts" added for a sweet touch of bling. The heart shaped locket here actually opens!

Beautiful paper, a bit of silk and lace, and there you have it! All supplies are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

As always, this is a Mystery Blog Candy hop, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today's participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style--Ric Rac!

I'm back with a design for this week's Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style...this week...Ric Rac!  Ric Rac is so fun to play with...it lays so flat and makes for a great border and accent.

Also, did you know that The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is on Facebook? "Like It" and you will receive updates of all that is happening!

Back to today's hop:

I've really been into banners and little doodads for decorating these past months...it helps make our place feel a little more like home!

This hanging tag has an Easter theme, and I will display it on my china hutch.

First up, pretty papers by Webster's Pages: "Let's Celebrate, All About Me and Western Romance" Collection Triple Pack.

Can you see the May Art's pink velvet Zig Zag peeking out from the edges?

I stamped the cross image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, perfect for use with Copic Sketch markers. After coloring with Copics, I die cut it with a Spellbinders Classic oval die (check with Sharon for availability). The image panel is then layered up with a bit larger oval, and the new JustRite Custom Nested Oval Medallion. I really love the custom dies that JustRite matches with it's sets...they really give a crisp, clean border and edge to image panels!

NOTE: ALL Spellbinder dies are marked down at the store NOW!

A spattering of yellow, along with a May Art's Ivory Silk Ribbon bow tied with a Bow Easy, finishes this design.

All of today's supplies (minus the Copics) are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here's one type of the Ric Rac that Sharon sells...she has generously made up a sweet Mystery Blog candy pack of 1/2 yard of each of all three ric rac styles that she sells!

This is a Mystery Blog Candy hop, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, February 7 and will be posted here on Sharon's blog on Wednesday or thereafter.

For the Love of Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collections!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop. This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop for the Love of ODBD Scripture Collections! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, go to ODBD Blog for the full link list. One of the post is a hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate.
So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until February 15th at 6 pm. Winner will be announced February 16th! So, get hopping and enjoy all the inspiration using for the Love of ODBD Scripture Collections.

As you can see below, Scripture Collection 1 has six verses,
all with beautiful text!

My design for today is for a male friend dealing with some health issues. This verse is such a precious reminder of in Whom we trust!

My card base is made up of My Mind's Eye "Paris & Co." designer paper, layered with borders of tawny brown velvet from Michael's.

After the verse was stamped, I die cut it with Spellbinder's "Labels Two" Nestabilities. I rimmed the sentiment panel with a Copic Sketch marker while the die was still in place, then softened the color edge with Copic Blender pen. A glittery brad adds the final touch to this simple masculine design.

All linked product is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

If you've come here from the Our Daily Bread Design's blog, you're in the right place! Next up on the hop is FRAN!
