Late Summer Wedding

We have a couple of late summer weddings, so here today with a quick card for one of them. Since we are overseas, I will have to plan on mailing it...it is fairly flat, although with the burlap flowers I will have to mail it in a bubble wrap mailer.

I began with Ranger Watercolor Paper. Why watercolor paper, you may ask? I love the hefty feel and texture that it affords...it just makes a substantial, rich feeling card! Also, it embosses wonderfully! I've dry embossed it here with Darice's Script Background Embossing Folder.

The script panel is popped up for dimension with Thermoweb 3D Foam Strips, and is accented with Petaloo's Textured Elements Burlap Sunflowers, and a border of May Art's 1/4" Crocheted Lace Trim. I added a couple of die cut leaves (similar HERE), colored with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Peeling Paint ink. The lace, flowers, and leaves are all adhered to the design using Tombow Mono Aqua liquid glue.

A special inside Bible verse using Stamp Simply's clear "Wedding Wishes" 1 Corinthian 13, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink:

As you probably notice, the embossed panel script and the inner verse match, both being from 1 Corinthians 13.

All supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

That's all for today--thanks so much for stopping by!
