Pastor Appreciation Month

 October is Pastor Appreciation month...two new stamp sets from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store are perfect to make those cards of appreciation."Pastor and Ministry Appreciation Greetings" and "Pastor and Ministry Appreciation Scripture Sentiments" clear stamp sets can be purchased individually or as a duo.

Let me tell you about my card for today, using the two new sets as well as the new steel "Fish Tail Dies" and clear "Autumn Blessings" stamp and die sets. 

I began with a panel of kraft cardstock, then stenciled Tim Holtz' "String" layering stencil using Tim Holtz Distress Wild Honey ink (Ranger Mini Blending Tool) onto it. I then layered another stencil, "Leafy" over it, using Tim Holtz Distress Old Paper ink. Old Paper ink also edged the panel. Drops of water add a bit of distressing and allow the kraft to peek through the drops.

The panel was then layered over a piece of EK Success Assorted Cork and attached to the base of Tim Holtz Color Coordinations 12 x 12" cardstock.

The sentiment panel was stamped from the "Pastor and Ministry Appreciation Greetings" set using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. It was then die cut using Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's brand new "Fishtail Steel Dies." Love the assorted dies in this new set...perfect for so many of the Stamp Simply sentiments!

I stamped the wheat sheaf from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's "Autumn Blessings" set twice...first with Tim Holtz Distress Mustard Seed ink, then directly over that with Tim Holtz Distress Wild Honey...easy to do when you use a Tonic/Tim Holtz Stamp Platform!  The wheat sheaf was then cut with Stamp Simply's new "Autumn Blessings Wheat Bundles Dies." I added an accent of Prismacolor pencil to the wheat.

The wheat was glued onto the sentiment with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue, then adhered to the base with Thermoweb 3D Foam Squares.
