Hello! Here today with a masculine design to ring in the New Year, featuring Stamp Simply Ribbon Store stamps and Authentique's "Solitude" designer paper.
I began by stamping the buck head image from Stamp Simply's "A Godly Man" stamp set onto rustic cream cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Black Soot ink. I used a Tonic Stamp Platform to insure a crisp image, stamping a couple of times to get the result I desired. I then stamped the branch images around the buck head with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Iced Spruce ink. The image panel was then die cut with a Spellbinders Labels One die.
The sentiment was stamped from Stamp Simply's "All Occasions Sentiments Set Two" stamp set using the distress Black Soot ink. I used a Inkssentials Tools Cut n Dry Pen Nib to color the inside of the open text on "Happy" using the Iced Spruce ink. The fine tip on the nib helps apply color in the narrow letters. The tag was then die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix Framelit tag die from my stash.
A border of May Art's 2.5" Cotton Blend Vintage Plain Ribbon and a Simple Stories Claus & Co. enamel dot add extra interest to the card front.
The inside Bible verse comes from the Stamp Simply "A Godly Man" set, stamped with the distress Black Soot ink and die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner die.
The Bible verse is so perfect with regards to the New Year...we may make our plans, but the Lord is the One in charge--look to HIM!
