We were also to use a stand-by, go-to set that we depend on-- mine is PaperTrey Ink's Mixed Messages-- these tiny sentiments work for sooo many occasions!
To begin: I created a card base with Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, measuring 4.5" X 9." I created layers with MME Bohemia Backyard "My Journey" Brocade/Brown decorator paper, ticket corner punching the top dp layer.
I used Stampendous Butterflies Perfectly Clear Stamps for all three images. I colored the butterflies with numerous Copic markers, then die cut them out with Spellbinder Nestabilities Small Deckled Rectangles. After I die cut the image panels, I sponged them with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink, as well as the other layers of dp.
I finished off my design with Chatterbox's Easy Brad Maker kit, fitted with a "Mother" sentiment from PaperTrey Ink. I added a bit of satin ribbon, as well as a piece of SU's narrow brown retired stitched ribbon.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of the prettiest butterfly cards I've seen, Deb! Just gorgeous! I love the layout you chose for it. Hmmmm...Stampendous butterflies...this is the very same set I have -- the first clear stamp set I ever owned. Goes back pretty far, but it's still one of my favorites. The butterflies are so realistic. You did such a beautiful job on this card!
