Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge,Blog Hop, and Candy!

This is my second post for today, but I'm so very excited to share my first official design as a member of Our Daily Bread's Design team with you! My design today features July's brand new set "Grow in Grace." The fun begins with a challenge issued to us to use only three ODBD ink pads to provide the color for our card. My colors are: Sunflower, Olive, and Terra Cotta. More about these fabulous ink pads further down!

I began with a coral colored cardstock, scoring the folded edge with my Scor-Pal. I added a touch of texture by using a Scor-bug embosser to create my quilted backdrop for my image and sentiment.

I used Versafine Black Onyx ink before watercoloring with an aquapainter and the ODBD ink pads listed above; the image and sentiment were then die cut with Spellbinder's Oval and Long Rectangle dies. A closeup of the design follows:

A bit of ribbon finishes the design. Hope you like it!

Our blog hop today shows off five gorgeous sets released today. If you've come to my blog first, be sure to head back to the beginning of the blog hop at Our Daily Bread Designs' blog.

Here are the gals before and after me in the hop:

Grace
Deb
Jane

And now for something we all love - CANDY! There are three stops along the HOP today that are offering candy and I am one of them! You won't be disappointed because it's "Winner's Choice" -- each Blog Candy winner will get to choose THREE yummy, juicy ink pads from ODBD's line of beautiful colors. To enter, leave a comment on this post by MIDNIGHT CST, July 2, and I will choose a winner the next day. Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog July 4th, with instructions on how to claim your prize!

And, check this out!
July 1st marks the first day of our Guest Designer Contest! That’s right! YOU could be the next Guest Designer for ODBD! We are looking for two designers to join the Bread Basket for a month in August and in September! If this is something you would be interested in, email three samples (.jpeg files) of your best work to Judy at lidaroseroz@GMAIL.com by July 9th! That’s right – you only have NINE days! ODBD images are preferred, but not required. But what is required? If you are chosen, you will be working with two beautiful stamp sets during your “Guest Month” and will make a total of six projects for that month. Can you stick to a deadline? Do you have photography skills that can show off your creations? We want to hear from you!
Include your name, address, and a link to your blog and SCS Gallery in your email. Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to be in the “Bread Basket” (our Design Team). We will announce the Guest Designers right here on July 11th!

Have a great day!
