Our Daily Bread design's Anniversary China Challenge

Welcome to Our Daily Bread design's Anniversary Challenge: the "contemporary" gift for the second anniversary...china! This is an Inspiration Challenge for today's challenge--the inspiration photo is posted on the ODBD blog.

As with all the challenges this week, this challenge was announced on Mar. 7th on the ODBD Blog so you could get a head start. Because many upload to SCS and are not members and therefore cannot upload on Sunday, you will have until 8:00 pm EST Monday to link your creation to Mr. Linky at the ODBD blog. The winner will receive a $20.00 Gift Certificate for stamps at the Our Daily Bread designs Store and will be announced Tuesday on the ODBD blog when the next challenge is posted!

My design today features Our Daily Bread design's new set "Easter Blessings." Layers of muted decorator paper, translucent linen vellum, swirled pearls, and gold leaf edging are the base for my Copic colored Lily of the Valley.

I was inspired by the gold leaf rim that appears on so many patterns of china, as well as the luminous glow that fine china exhibits. I hope you like it!

~ODBD Easter Blessings; Cosmo Cricket Everafter: Something True dp; PaperTrey Ink Linen Vellum and Stamper's Select white cardstock; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Copic markers; Spellbinders Classic Ovals; Zva Pearl Swirls; Krylon Gold Leafing Pen (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store); and unknown sheer ribbon.~

AND...HIDDEN BLOG CANDY!!!

You won't know how many have candy each day... so be sure to visit them all!

Winners of the individual blog candy will be announced by the blog owners who had the candy on the next day on their blogs. There will also be a big announcement on March 19th on the ODBD Blog recapping ALL the winners...the challenges, the blog candy, and the blog hop winners! So be sure to check back then!!!

  25. Deb--

This is such a wonderfully beautiful piece of art! I love how the vellum was used with the papers to give a soft look. The pearls of course, are fantastic. Of course, you'd put pearls with bears or tigers, and it would look in place, right?

I love the color of the whole piece. I hope you will someday use your "blogspot" to walk us through the steps you took, in order...so that I/we could learn
to use this technique. I love it!
