Vintage Valentine Postcard Inspiration

I was sifting through my husband's vintage postcard collection, looking for Valentines to display...

and I found a couple of sweet ones!

Both stood out to me, as I was delighted with the
double heart shaped motif! I can do that!!!

Here's my rendition of a double heart design.

I began with a brand new kit: "Stamp Simply Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime Kit"! The kit includes this oh so pretty paper, as well as the May Art's Silk Ribbon (tied with a Bow Easy!) and Prima blossoms featured. It also has Kaiser pearls and rhinestones, plus so much more included! Check it out!

I used Spellbinder's Classic Heart and Scalloped Classic Heart dies, also available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, to create my heart shaped design.

A sentiment from JustRite's brand new set "Kindness" (also at Stamp Simply--easy...shopping all in one place!) along with chunky glitter, finish this design.

If you look closely, you can see where I added a bit of color on the Primas with a Copic Sketch marker...

I hope that you've enjoyed my postcard inspired Valentine!

Have a great week!

Love is in the Air! JustRite Challenge

Welcome to this week’s JustRite Challenge. There is a wonderful prize package being offered with a value of $100, partially sponsored by the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. All of the Stamp Simply girls are playing today and we hope you can play along with us and at the same time have a chance at winning a fun prize package. This week’s challenge is Love is in the Air, asking us to create a project reflecting love. Check out the full details and post your entries at the JustRite Blog.

Want to make some romantic, pretty Valentines this year? Take a look at my super easy Swing Valentine Card!

My design features two new items: JustRite's brand new release "Happy Everything Tag Making Kit," and the gorgeous new Stamp Simply "Kaiser Craft English Rose" kit!

JustRite's "Happy Everything Tag Making Kit" includes everything to make lovely tags for all times of the year. There are eighteen mini sentiments plus one sentiment border (as you can see, I've used the Valentine sentiment here), 4 Spellbinder Custom tag dies, as well as one clear ribbed stamper!

Stamp Simply's beautiful new kit is over the top delicious! KaiserCraft's English Rose paper along with hand picked, matched May Art's ribbons, Prima blossoms, pearls and rhinestones, all inclusive to this pretty, pretty kit!

I call this a "Swing" card because of the back panel that swings out, compliments of a brad placed beneath all of the blooms in the corner.  Here, I've handwritten my love note to my Valentine!

Other items used in my design: Spellbinders Classic Heart and Classic Scalloped Heart dies (available at Stamp Simply) and chunky glitter.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store carries the full JustRite line and is fully stocked with all new product in both the original ribbed and cling versions as well as dies. To order from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store just send Sharon an email at ssj@up.net, along with your state/zip or country, and she'll get an invoice out to you.

Be sure to check out the JustRite blog for the details to win the fabulous blog candy!

Shabby Tea Room Challenge Guest Designer: White and Bright!

I'm so very excited to be the guest designer over at the Shabby Tea Room's weekly challenge...this week: Challenge #45--"White and Bright!"  Our challenge: use white or cream, along with one other color...taking into consideration the inspiration photo shown below.

Be sure to check out this link for the challenge requirements and beautiful inspiration photos from the Shabby Tea Room designers and challenge players!
I hope that YOU get a chance to play along with us this week!

Here's the inspiration photo that was provided:

Isn't this a lovely table setting?
Yellow is one of my favorite colors,
as is a monochromatic design scheme.

Here's my design for the "White and Bright" Challenge:

My design features JustRite's brand new January release "Beautiful Day Set," available from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

What a fun and easy set to Copic color! Since my design colors were somewhat muted and mellow, I wanted to create a "washed out" and soft feel with the floral colors.

Take a look at some of the close up details...the textured banana yellow background created with my CuttleBug...layers of snow white vellum peeking through...the floral image framed out with Spellbinder's Petite Oval dies, topped with a tiny touch from JustRite Custom Dies, layered with a KaiserCraft self stick pearl.                                                   Oh, and I must not forget the lacy trim from Webster's Pages "WonderFall"  trim pack, encrusted with more tiny KaiserCraft pearls.

The frosting on this cake is a pretty silken May Art's Bow, all tied up using a Bow Easy!

Most all of the supplies listed above can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today, and have a wonderful week!
