Berry-licious Blast from the Past!

I just wanted to show you a card that I put together for my stamping group last evening. We were requested to make up a design using an old Stampin' Up favorite...this is the first set I put my hands on!
The set is retired, and it is called, "Sun-Ripened." It's a definite "Oldie, but Goodie!"

Just look at the shaded detail of the stamp...it really makes for an easy coloring job (Copic Sketch Markers)!

I used Stampin' Up decorator paper for my design, along with Spellbinder Petite Oval dies and May Art's black twine (both from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store). Did you notice the little charm (Michaels) detail?

So, that's my berry-licious blast from the past. Hope you like it!

New Vintage LaBlanche Stamps!

Look at the gorgeous new goodies available at

First, let me tell you about the beautiful new line of LaBlanche stamps (this one is "Bird Cage") that Sharon has picked up...they're constructed of silicone...all mounted and ready to go. Lovely vintage images...so easy to color with the shading already provided!

Second, the oh-so-springlike K and Company "Spring Blossom" 12" X 12" paper pad. You can buy the paper separately, or purchase it in kit form.

My design today features the K and Co. designer paper, but is prettied up with other items from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store: Webster's Pages Sparklers flat backed, blinged out button (I just {{{love}}} these!!!), May Art's 7/8" white Crocheted Lace, and May Art's 1/2" wide Wrinkled Ribbon.

So, if you're ready for Spring, and have a touch of "Spring Fever," head over to see the new stamps, paper, and SALE going on at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Valentine's Day Blog Candy!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that your day is filled with love (and romance!!!)!

Even though my design today is not necessarily a Valentine...I have something sweet on my mind, just waiting to be shipped off to one of my readers! Blog candy! Just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a packet of goodies including the Basic Grey paper that I've used on this card, along with Primas, May Art's lace, and more! Best Wishes!

To start off, I had a really difficult time getting a good picture of this card! I took a bunch of pics yesterday, then more today, and still am unhappy with the outcome. The bird image (Stampin' Up Nature Walk) matches the background paper perfectly IRL...I could not capture that whatsoever here! In any case...

Basic Grey "Curio" paper was used, along with May Art's wide black silk ribbon and 5/8" May Art's lace. Spellbinder's Petite Oval and Doodles Parts dies were used to create and frame the image panel, and KaiserCraft black jet rhinestones were applied for sparkle. All of these supplies are ready and available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

So, that's that for today! Be sure to leave a comment on this post to be in the running for the blog candy. I will choose a winner Friday night at 6 p.m.

Thanks for stopping by!

Paris Flocked Design

I've been in a vintage, shabby mood as of late...
here's a Wednesday design to match!

This was the first time that I had inked up Stampin' Up's gorgeous set "Artistic Etchings," even though it has been in my studio for some time! I used Versafine Black Onyx ink for the images, stamped onto a pre-made unknown tag. Tim Holtz' Antique Linen and Tea Dye inks were used for distressing.

Luscious black velvet flocked KaiserCraft "After Five" sets off my Eiffel Tower tag, while the french newsprint is Seven Gypsies "Conservatory," both available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

May Art's black Silk ribbon, along with May Art's 5/8" lace threaded through with May Art's black twine (all from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) adds a soft and vintage feel.

A twinkling KaiserCraft black jet rhinestone and Stampin' Up "Antique" brad finish this design.

A quick heads-up...make sure that you visit here Monday, Valentine's Day...I will be offering up something sweet!

Have a wonderful remainder to your week!

Shabby Tea for Two

Take a look at my second submission for the Shabby Tea Room's Design Team Call, my first being the project posted just below.

The Shabby Tea Room has a fabulous weekly challenge, I've so enjoyed playing along when possible! If you haven't visited the Shabby Tea Room blog, do so now!

Here's the inspiration photo that we were given to build our design from:

What a pretty tea set! I've incorporated the colors pink and black, as well as polka dots and the tea theme into my project.

Let me tell you about my design. I knew that I wanted to use PaperTrey Ink's "Tea for Two" stamp set and die. I also used some of their "Text Style Bitty Dot Basics" polka dotted pale pink paper.

I combined the polka dotted paper with brand new KaiserCraft "After Five Collection" 6 inch paper pad from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. What a classy collection...I'm especially loving the flocked and foiled patterns!

I machine stitched around the perimeter of the card, adding a bit of distressing to the background layer.

A big luscious bow, created using a Bow Easy and May Art's Silk Ribbon, Prima Teaberry Lilliput Roses, and KaiserCraft rhinestones (the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) add special touches to this shabby design.

Spellbinder's "Scalloped Edge Frame", wrapped with narrow May Art's silk ribbon (all from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), ties everything together.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!
