LaBlanche New June Release!

Hello! I'm so very excited to show you a new June release stamp that I received from LaBlanche to play with...isn't this country lad a handsome fella?  I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (my Copics are out of reach at the moment...more on that later...!)

The decorator papers used here are from K and Company's "Margo" 12 X 12" pad...it has been in my stash for sometime. The crisp and colorful plaid, along with the vintage print background seemed just perfect for this country scene. A bit of twine and button add a simple touch.

If you are interested in this image, you can contact Sharon at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to be placed on a waiting list, as the new release stamps should be arriving in the United States the middle of June. If you are interested in any other of the beautiful LaBlanche stamps, be certain to check out Sharon's supply!

Now, for my news...I must apologize for my absence here, but I do have a very good reason!  My husband has accepted a job overseas, and we are in the midst of a move! He has gone ahead for his training in Washington D.C., and I have stayed behind to pack and finish the school year. I will be joining him this week the day after school is released. We will then be moving to Tajikistan sometime in July.

It has been a very busy time, and I hope to be settled and able to stamp much more often by the end of summer...I do have some items that will be accessible during the move, and hope to create and upload as much as possible.

LaBlanche Sunflower Journal

Hello! I wanted to show you a journal that I made up for a friend's daughter, featuring LaBlanche's beautiful "Sunflower" stamp found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Here's a closeup of the cheerful image...
colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

This simple journal is made of a composition notebook, found just about anywhere.  The cream and brown background papers are K and Company's "Wild Saffron" 12 X 12" designer paper, and the beautiful text panel is 7 Gypsies "Conservatory."

One request for the journal was that it would be somewhat flat. So, touches of  May Art's Ivory Lace and Natural Burlap String, as well as a Pink Paislee "Butterfly Collection Bauble" make it so.

A bit of distressing with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink and natural stick pencil provide that special "garden" feel to this hopefully much used journal.

Most of the supplies used today are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Hope that this inspires you to make up a journal...so very easy, and fun!

Have a wonderful remainder to your week!
