Friends in Faith Instagram Hop--Sweet Hour of Prayer

Hello! I have a clean and simple yet quick to make card for today's Friends in Faith Instagram Hop. Our inspiration for this week was "Sweet Hour of Prayer."

I wanted to use Stamp Simply's Prayer die for the card and added a retired Spellbinder Medallion Five die. The medallion reminded me of a stained glass window.

I began by die cutting the medallion from the top panel of the card. I then ink blended some Tim Holtz Ranger Oxide inks (Faded Jeans, Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina) onto another sheet and glued that behind the medallion die cut. I popped up the entire top panel for dimension.

I also sponged some of the same oxide inks onto a scrap of paper and die cut the prayer die from that scrap. I glued the single layer prayer word onto the top panel.  A gem finishes off the design for a pretty touch.

So serene and I love the color combo.

You can find Stamp Simply's Prayer die HERE with additional prayer themed stamps and dies.

I hope that you have a chance to check out the additional makes in today's hop! Thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Hello Fruit Product of the Week

Hi! Here today with a CAS (clean and simple) plus quick card featuring Stamp Simply's Product of the Week: The Fruit Series!

The cherry from the Stamp Simply clear Fruit stamp set is the star on this simple design. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with Copic Sketch Markers.

I die cut the cherries with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Hexagon Stacked Tile dies; a smaller sized hexagon for the cherry panel which was then popped up onto the next size up hexagon. A couple more hexagons add a bit of interest to the remainder of the background panel.

I stamped a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Fruit Sentiment clear stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, then also die cut and layered it.

Ranger Glossy accents adds a sheen to the cherries for a final touch.

All linked supplies are from Stamp Simply.

Here are a couple of "Oldies but Goodies" using the Fruit Series:

Back to School Teacher's Gift

Here with a back to school gift for my grandson's teacher. It also fits for this week's My Favorite Instagram Hop...theme being "Back to School."

I simply purchased a box of pencils and trimmed the box down. I then covered it with Echo Park's School Rules decorator paper.

The tag also uses the decorator paper pad; the tag die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix Tag Collection die along with Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric letters. The apple is die cut with a retired Spellbinders die.

Ribbons are May Art's from Stamp Simply.

Scripture Based Sympathy Card

Hello once again! Here this Friday after noon with a sympathy card for our Friends in Faith Instagram Hop. Our theme today is the same Bible verse that is on my card: Matthew 5:4.

I wanted to use very neutral/monochromatic colors, yet still have some texture. I'm happy how it turned out.

The blooms are Paper Trey Ink's Into the Bloom Snowdrops Die, watercolored with Daniel Smith watercolors.

The base of the card uses The Greetery's Shortbread Shapes dies and Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Spring Embossing Folder.

The beautiful Bible verse is from Stamp Simply's Blessings/Beatitudes 1 clear stamp set, stamped with Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink.

If you get a chance, head over to today's Friends in Faith hop for more faith filled projects. We'd love to have you stop in!

Merry Christmas Winter Poinsettia Floral Cluster

Hello! I have a Christmas card to add to my stash using Stamp Simply's Product of the Week: Floral Clusters Series clear stamps and die! I've used their Winter Floral Poinsettia Cluster for this card, which includes Christmas and holiday sentiments. The other three floral cluster stamp sets are also on sale, as is the die that is sized to cut all four floral cluster images.

I began by stamping the floral cluster with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the Floral Cluster die to cut it out. I also die cut three sprigs from the Floral Cluster and Sprigs dies set.

I stamped the two sentiments from the Winter Poinsettia Floral Cluster stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink then die cut one with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die.

Crystal Stickles adds a bit of sheen to the berries and flower center.

All linked product is from Stamp Simply.

Be sure to check out the Product of the Week sale, it runs thru September 12th.

Have a great weekend!

Ripe Old Age Birthday

Hi and Welcome! I have a special card that I created for one of our very good friend's birthday...I think he really got a kick out of it!

These dies combine to make such an appealing and attractive card. A bit of die cutting, shading with ink, and stamping. Done!

I die cut the white background panel with the border die, then layered it over a panel of blue. The tomatoes and vine were cut from red and green cardstocks, then were edged with a bit of ink with a distress sponge dauber. Easy!

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and a Versafine Red ink. The red ink was a bit orange so I dabbed a bit of a darker red Copic onto the letters to match up with the tomatoes.

The card is fairly flat for mailing, although I did pop up the tomatoes and sentiment oval with foam tape.

I hope that you've enjoyed today's card. It was a lot of fun making it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Thank You Black Eyed Susans

Hello! I've put together a card for today's My Favorite Instagram Hop...this week's theme is to use our favorite pattern. I have always loved gingham. I had a navy gingham blouse when I was young and it got a lot of wear thru the years. I had to buy one last year to relive those great memories.

The flowers are Spellbinder Echinacea/Cone Flower dies. I've made them up to look like Black Eyed Susans which are now blooming in our area. I watercolored the die cuts with Daniel Smith watercolors.

The sentiment is Stamp Simply's Farmhouse All Occasion Greeting clear stamp set. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Acorn ink and die cut it with a Spellbinder Narrow Oval die.

The base of this card is 4 x 5 1/4" so that the over hang will still fit in an envelope nicely.

Be sure to check out the rest of the pattern inspiration over at the Instagram hop! So fun to see what pattern is a favorite.
