Paper Pieced Holly Leaves Blessings

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! It's always wonderful to stop and take note of all that we have to be thankful for! It's also a reminder to be thankful daily to our Lord and Savior for His blessings.

I have a simple design today featuring Stamp Simply's Christmas Blessings stamp and die sets. You can purchase these as a bundle or individually.

I decided to paper piece the holly leaves. Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques, adding print and color from a sheet of designer paper to your stamped image. The designer paper used here is Carta Bella's Home for Christmas. The colors are a bit darker in the pad than what is showing in the photo.

To paper piece, simple stamp the holly leaves with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a sheet of cream cardstock. Also stamp the image onto the decorator paper piece that you want to use. I colored the berry portion of the cream cardstock image with Copic Sketch markers, then die cut it with the Christmas Blessings Holly die. I fussy cut the leaves from the stamped decorator paper image, then glued them into place on the cream image. Ranger Crystal Effects were used to give the berries dimension and shine.

The arched layers were cut with Stamping Up's Arched Die set, with the sentiment from the Christmas Blessings stamp set stamped directly onto the main panel with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

A fun card to make and mail!

Winter Sledding!

Hi There! Happy to be here on this Autumn Friday.

Snow is just around the corner and I just love this vintage sled die that I purchased from Stamp Simply...Tim Holtz Sizzix Vintage Sled, along with the fun decorator paper pad by Carta Bella--Winter Time, also available at Stamp Simply. And, let's not forget that wonderful sentiment that is part of Stamp Simply's Christmas Stockings and Mittens stamp set!

Let me tell you about putting this card together.

I started by die cutting parts of the sled from red and kraft cardstock. The boards on the sled have etched wood grain, so after cutting the shape, I blended some Tim Holtz Ranger Oxide ink over the surface to highlight and darken them.

I die cut the smaller pieces from the die set with white cardstock, and Copic colored them. You could also die cut those pieces from cardstock scraps, but I chose to do the quicker by using the white cardstock.

The base of the card is covered with Carta Bella's Winter Time decorator paper...perfect for the sled focal point!

I stamped the snowy sentiment onto white cardstock with Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Lumberjack Plaid ink, then die cut it with a circle die.

What a fun card to make! The sled is easy to put together, and I am just thrilled with the outcome.

Merry Christmas Metallic Wreath

I began by stamping the Floral Cluster Poinsettia with Memento ink onto white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers, then die cut it with the Floral Cluster die.

Next up: two circle dies to cut a gleaming wreath shape from Bazzil Mirror cardstock in gold.

I began layering the background, first with dark green decorator paper from Carta Bella's Happy Christmas. The next layer is more of the Bazzil Mirror cardstock, topped with a pretty wreath print from the Happy Christmas decorator pad.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Floral Cluster Winter Poinsettia stamp set with a Versafine Versamark pad, then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. It was then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Sentiment Banner die.

The card was finished as the gold wreath shape and poinsettia cluster were adhered to the base of the card, along with the sentiment banner.

Fun and fairly quick to make!

Time to Be Grateful

Hello and Welcome! Here today with a card for Thanksgiving using Stamp Simply's Fall and Winter Seasonal Wreath stamp and die sets. So fun to play with as Stamp Simply has two stamp and die sets that cover all four seasons-- Fall and Winter Seasonal Wreaths and Spring and Summer Seasonal Wreaths. Both stamp sets have matching die sets that are sold separately.

I began by stamping the images with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and coloring with Copic Sketch markers. The wreath was die cut with a circle die and the pumpkins were die cut with the Fall and Winter Seasonal Wreath die.

The sentiment from the Fall and Winter stamp set was stamped with Versafine Clair Acorn ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Sentiment banner die.

Autumn Wreath

Hello! The Autumn colors have been wonderful but are almost finished in our area. I wanted to keep it going with this pretty wreath die set from Simon Says Stamp Fall Wreath Wafer Dies.

I began by spritzing watercolor paper with Ranger Distress Ink spray and Distress Oxide Ink sprays in warm colors. After the page dried, I die cut the wreath shapes out...there are two dies to make the entire circle. I die cut each shape twice. Love the clean cut and embossed areas on the leaves...the die does all of the work for you!

The background of the card is a panel embossed with Stampin' Up's Damask Designs Embossing Folder.  The pretty "Blessings" sentiment is from Stamp Simply's Fall and Winter Seasonal Wreaths, cut with one of their Fishtail Sentiment Banner dies.

Once the ink spray sheet dries, this card is very quick to put together.

Enjoy the fabulous colors of Fall and see you on Friday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Patch

Welcome to the pumpkin patch! Here today with a fun pumpkin card featuring stamps and dies from Stamp Simply.

I began by stamping the pumpkin from Stamp Simply's Welcome Fall stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (similar here) onto creamy cardstock.

After coloring it with Copic Sketch markers, I die cut it with the Stamp Simply Welcome Fall Pumpkin die.

I then stamped the background seed packet image onto some pretty pale orange gingham decorator paper using Stamp Simply's Vintage Seed Packet stamp set. Simple, but fun!

A trio of enamel dots from my stash finish this quick card.
