I thought this sentiment from Our Daily Bread design's May release "God's Hands" would be perfect for this patriotic design, as we should be calling to the Lord daily for guidance for our country and world.
I used a Spellbinder Petite Oval die (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) to die cut the sentiment panel.
I wanted to go in a different direction this week, creating somewhat of a 3D design. This card does not lay flat, due to the Stampin' Up Sizzix 5 Point 3D star die cuts.
The decorator papers used here are both from October Afternoon: the blue star paper from the "Report Card" pad, and the mini red polka dot from the "Fly a Kite" pad. Both pads measure 8 X 8," and are available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
I've also included a Close to My Heart Independence Level 2 square sticker (mounted right behind the sentiment panel) that I've had in my stash for ages...time to start purging items before my move into my new craft room!

Your sentiment is absolutely perfect--an inspiration to be faithful.
What a wonderful star shaped creation Deb! and what a lovely Psalm verse to use!
This is SUCH a beautiful card! I love the way you used the star as the base, created the quilted effect on the card front and chose such a beautiful verse to highlight. This is wonderful!
Wonderful card --- everything fits perfectly!
