I'm hosting a challenge today for the Dare to Get Dirty event~~here's my design!
I've used a mix of October Afternoon's "Thrift Shop" and "Fly a Kite" papers (available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store).
Isn't this little gal sweet? She is one of My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line, "Blooming Good Day." I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored her with Copic markers, paper pieced her dress to match the background of my design, then die cut her with a Spellbinder Petite Oval die (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store). If you look closely, you can see that I used a Copic marker to add a bit of shading to the paper pieced dress.
I stamped the sentiment from the "Blooming Good Day" set with Versafine Black Onyx ink, then punched the tag with Stampin' Up's Large Tag Punch. A Copic marker was then used to add a rim of color.
Prima "Daisy Dreams Snow" along with Foof a La "Hall Pass" buttons and May Arts Ivory Twine finish this pieced design.
I'm also submitting this design for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge: "From the Garden."
To see more and find out what this challenge is all about, head over to Dare to Get Dirty! Thanks for stopping by!
