If you have arrived from Connie's fabulous blog, you are progressing along the hop perfectly!
I've chosen to use ODBD's "Joy to the World" stamp set for my design today:
I realize that brown tones are not typical for Christmas cards, but thought that this paper was perfect with stripes reading as wood grain for Baby Jesus' birth in a stable. And, I'm fairly certain that there was not bright red and kelly green present at the time. The stripes on the paper are slightly metallic, which you cannot see in the photo, so it does present a bit of glimmer and gleam.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, then die cut with a Spellbinder's Square die.
I stamped the Isaiah 9:6 Bible verse from the set onto a panel and mounted it inside of the card.
Coppery brads and wired ribbon add final touches to my design.
Be sure to head over to the talented Kathy's blog next...she's awaiting your arrival with a gorgeous design!
Thanks so much for joining us today!
