Our Daily Bread Designs For the Love of Gift Giving

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop

This week the Alumni team, along with some of the ODBD designers, are featuring a hop For the Love of Gift Giving! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD Blog for the full list of links.

One of the blog posts is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD Store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all of the creations and leave a little love! You have until Wednesday, December 6th at 6 p.m.to complete the hop to leave comments.   Enjoy all of the beautiful designs featuring For the Love of Gift Giving!

The set that I have chosen to use for today: ODBD "His Gift."

I immediately thought of an easy gift wrap that I had learned from my friend Sharon and is my fallback for a quick but pretty gift presentation.  Cover an inexpensive Kraft gift bag with a sheet of 12" decorator paper, then dress it up!

I really enjoy coloring this image in the "His Gift" set. I used Copic Sketch markers, but have also watercolor painted it in the past. It is really easy to color, as much of the shading is already provided.

I also created a tag from the sentiment included in the "His Gift" set: "May you have the gift of faith...

If you've started from the ODBD Blog, you will know that I'm the first stop for today's hop. If you're just starting out, know that you can head back to the ODBD Blog anytime to view the entire list of today's participants.

Next up:  Kathy and her awe inspiring project!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This is beautiful Deb! I love to cover gift bags like this too. You can pick up plain bags at a dollar store and make them really special! One thing I love about ODBD stamps is that they are shaded - my coloring skills really need some help! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous gift bag!

My goodness, one of those $6 gift bags couldn't compare to this beautiful bag. I've stamped bags before, but never gave much thought to just covering it up. Quite lovely.

Red, white and gold are my fav Christmas color combo. Gorgeous bag. Hard to believe it was just a plain off-the-shelf Kraft bag.

The gift bag is lovely, and the possible combinations of papers, embellishments, and stamps are endless. This is a way to make a gift really special. It's great to hear that the poinsettia is easy to shade...it looks wonderful, nonetheless!
