Stamp Simply Christmas in July!

Hello! Welcome to Stamp Simply's Christmas in July!  Such a great sale to prepare for the upcoming holidays! It's been a fun week seeing all the design team's Christmas ideas...perfect viewing for a hot summer day!

My card is super simple and would be easy to mass produce...it features Stamp Simply's Merry Christmas stamp set and matching star die as well as Stamp Simply's Scripty Background Sentiment Set #2 stamp set.

Let's take a look...

I began with two shades of lavender cardstock, stamping the Scripty Sentiment #2 stamp on the top panel with Versamark ink, then heat embossing with silver embossing powder. I then stamped the Merry Christmas set star with the Versamark ink, embossed it, then die cut it with the Star die

Pop the star onto the background, add a Kaisercraft Rhinestone, and you're done! So simple but elegant.

Be certain to check out Stamp Simply's NEW Blog that features all of the Christmas in July cards this week!

Old Glory--Happy Independence Day!

Hello and Happy 4th of July! So very thankful for the freedom and independence that we are blessed with here in the United States of America. God has surely blessed our country.

I'm here today with a card made with Stamp Simply's Old Glory stamp set...such a wonderful set to celebrate our patriotism!

I began by stamping the flag/USA image onto white cardstock. I also stamped the image onto Echo Park's Let Freedom Ring paper pad--once onto a navy mini star sheet, and once onto the red gingham sheet.

I then paper pieced the stars and stripes from the patterned paper and glued them into place on the white panel. The stars were highlighted with a white gel pen.

The white panel was die cut with a rectangle die, and layered over one larger rectangle cut to act as a frame.

The Old Glory sentiment is from the stamp set, then die cut with a circle die. All layered over a background print from the Let Freedom Ring paper pad.

Tuscan Olive Branch

Hello! Here today with a card made for my monthly stamping group's exchange. It features Simon Says Stamp's Tuscan Olive Branch along with Stamp Simply's Welcome Fall stamp sentiment.

I began by  die cutting the olive branch twice from watercolor paper. I then watercolored the die cuts with Daniel Smith watercolors and adhered them together for added dimension.

The olive branch is then layered onto Craft Consortium Metal Textures decorator paper. The sentiment from the Welcome Fall stamp set is stamped with Versafine Clair Acorn ink onto the watercolor, then die cut with a rectangle die.

The colors are so very rich in person. Simple and easy to make!

A couple of photos of olive groves in Montenegro during our time there:
