Sunflower Season

Sunflower Season with be coming up before too long...they are one of summer's finest flowers as well as being a food source for birds, animals, and humans alike.  This simple and quick card to make features Stamp Simply's Sunflower Season stamp and die sets, along with Craft Consortium Wood Textures designer paper.

I began by stamping the sunflower and sunflower sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After coloring the bloom with Copic Sketch markers, I die cut the two images with the dies from the Sunflower Season die set. They were then simply glued to the decorator paper covered background. a May Arts Burlap String becomes a border with bow on top. Easy!

Flat to mail and quick to make!

Tuscan Olive Branch

Hello! Here today with a card made for my monthly stamping group's exchange. It features Simon Says Stamp's Tuscan Olive Branch along with Stamp Simply's Welcome Fall stamp sentiment.

I began by  die cutting the olive branch twice from watercolor paper. I then watercolored the die cuts with Daniel Smith watercolors and adhered them together for added dimension.

The olive branch is then layered onto Craft Consortium Metal Textures decorator paper. The sentiment from the Welcome Fall stamp set is stamped with Versafine Clair Acorn ink onto the watercolor, then die cut with a rectangle die.

The colors are so very rich in person. Simple and easy to make!

God is Our Refuge and Strength

Here today with a softly colored card with a lot of texture. Featured stamp sets: Stamp Simply Floral Cluster Summer Roses stamp and die sets along with Stamp Simply's Fear Not stamp set.

The Stamp Simply Floral Cluster stamps collection include sets for each season...with the die set that matches each floral cluster. So, only one die for all four sets! All sets can be purchased individually, or as a bundle. Be sure to check them out! They are all lovely and easy to color.

I began the card by stamping the Floral Cluster Summer Roses image with Memento Tuxedo ink, then coloring it with Copic Sketch Markers. I then die cut it with the Floral Cluster die.

I stamped the beautiful Bible Verse from the Fear Not stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then die cut it with an arched die.

The floral cluster and verse are layered over a background that has been embossed with a Sizzix Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fade folder, Intertwine.  The cardstock is Stampin' Up's Soft Seafoam. Love this soft and pretty color!

Father's Day

Hello! Father's Day is right around the corner and I have a masculine card to share featuring Stamp Simply's A Godly Man clear stamp and A Godly Man's Buck steel die sets. It also features Stamp Simply's Typewritten Year Round Greetings stamp set.

I began by stamping the buck head from the Godly Man set using Versafine Clair Acorn ink, then die cut it with the Godly Man's Buck die. I mounted it on two Spellbinder Oval die cuts (similar) that I had stamped with my vintage Stampin' Up Sanded background stamp.

The base of the card is layered with a "frame" of Craft Consortium Wood Textures decorator paper; the center of the wood paper panel is die cut with a Spellbinder Rectangle die. It is then layered over a chocolate brown colored card base.

The sentiment from Typewritten Year Round Greetings is stamped with the acorn ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die. A couple of vintage copper brads adds the final detail.

Find the Beauty in Every Day

Hi! Thanks for stopping by today. I've been focusing on fairly simple cards as of late and have been intrigued with "clusters," layered pieces that create an interesting focal point. The base of the card remains simple making the cluster shine.

Let me tell you about the cluster. I began with a ticket layer (scrapbook.com's Nested Stitched Tickets die) die cut from rustic cream cardstock, layered over a Stamp Simply Fishtail Sentiment Banner die piece. The Stamp Simply banner piece was snipped in half to be able to fit behind the ticket to peek out.

The focus of the cluster is
Stamp Simply's Seasonal Wreath Spring and Summer stamp and die sets. It is stamped with layers of Memento Gray Flannel and Tuxedo Black inks, then colored with Copic Sketch markers. It was then die cut with the Seasonal Wreath Spring and Summer die.

The Seasonal Wreath Spring and Summer sentiment was stamped onto the ticket with Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink.

The base of the card is from Echo Park's My Favorite Easter (out of stock) but their My Favorite Spring decorator pad would also work wonderfully.

Stamp Simply also has Seasonal Wreath Fall and Winter stamps and dies. All are gorgeous and can be purchased individually or as bundles. Love them!

Love You Mother's Day Card

Hello! Mother's Day is just around the corner and I've made a card for my dear mother using Stamp Simply's Happy Iris clear stamp and die sets.

I've colored this iris in mind with my mother's past garden where she grew pale yellow irises along one border. I'm hoping that it sparks a memory for her as she suffers from dementia.

The iris is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic Sketch markers, then die cut with the Iris die. It is layered over a pearly gray background of Craft Consortium Baroque decorator paper with an oval die cut from a Spellbinder die (similar).

The sentiment from the Happy Iris stamp set is stamped directly onto the oval panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

You can purchase the Happy Iris stamp and die sets individually or as a bundle.
