Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style--Words of Comfort

We're featuring on "Words of Comfort" for this week's Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style hop...using sentiments as the primary focal points within our designs.

The Corrie Ten Boom quote used is from Our Daily Bread Design's stamp set called "As You Graduate," available from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

The quote was stamped onto creamy cardstock using Versafine Black Sepia ink, then die cut with Spellbinder's "Beaded Oval" dies.

Designer paper used today is Kaisercraft "Blae and Ivy," accented with a Prima blossom and May Art's Wrinkled Ribbon.

All supplies used today are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

As always, this is a Mystery Blog Candy hop (candy pictured below), meaning that the winner will be chosen from the comments from one of the participating blogs. Leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, only one comment per blog, please. The winner will be chosen Tuesday, April 3 at 6 p.m., and will be announced at Sharon's blog Wednesday, April 4th or thereafter. You must check back to see if you have won the blog candy.

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style--Checks!

Checks are the subject for Ribbon Inspiration this week...we were to use some type of check in our design, be it ribbon or paper.

I've been playing with JustRite's new background stamps again--the two used here: "Fleur de Lis" and "Harlequin Script."  You can see all of the JustRite Background stamps HERE.

The handsome country fella is LaBlanche's "Daydreaming" Silicone Stamp. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored him up with Copic Sketch Markers.
He sits upon a crimped panel of kraft cardstock,
layered over the stamped background panels.

A Bo Bunny "Welcome Home Button"  layered over May Art's Gingham Ribbon adds the final touch.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

As always, this is a Mystery Blog Candy, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. Our Daily Bread Designs 4th Anniversary Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to...

Our Daily Bread designs 4th Anniversary Special Design Team Edition Release Blog Hop!

If you have come here from Patter's Blogyou are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you are sure to not miss anyone on the list!  If any links are lost along the way, you can always access the entire list of links from the ODBD Blog as well!

The Bread Sticks are so excited to be celebrating this special milestone in the life of ODBD!  It is such a blessing to work for a company that brings glory to God in every stamp set created, and offers the tools we need to do the same with every card we create!  If you are a long term follower of ODBD, then you know that each year the Design Team submits a favorite Scripture for the special anniversary sets, and those suggestions have been the sum total of all the "Scripture Collection" stamp sets in the store.  This year, the special sets include our favorite Scriptures, but also quotes and sentiments that we feel would be great on cards or  projects.  I think you will find some of the most encouraging and uplifting words available in stamps in these special anniversary sets!

So now, here are the Details of the Anniversary Hop:

  • The Hop will run 8am EDT Mar. 17 until 8pm EDT Mar 18.
  • The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Mar 19.
  • Four  hoppers will win a FREE ANNIVERSARY SET and One blessed hopper will win The Complete Anniversary  Bread Basket Bundle!!!
Here is what you have to do to be qualified to win one of these prizes:
  • Hop to each designer’s blog and leave a comment
  • Return to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and leave a comment telling us that you completed the hop, making note if there were any you could not comment on.
  • Along with your statement that you completed the hop, leave some Anniversary wishes for Kelley and the gang at ODBD!

I've chosen to create a monochromatic design using My Mind's Eye "Paris and Co." designer paper and a Bible verse from ODBD's new 4th Anniversary release set: "Scripture Collection 8."

Gingham ribbon and creamy lace, along with Prima Vintage Trinket bling from my stash, finish this design.

Now, please head on over to Jan Keen's blog for more inspiration!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love of Blog Hop! This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop For the Love of ODBD Backgrounds! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, go to the ODBD Blog for the full link list. One of the posts is a hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, get hopping and enjoy all of the inspiration using Our Daily Bread Designs Background Stamps!

I'm using "Crocheted Background" in my design today:

I stamped the crocheted background stamp onto blush colored cardstock using a white craft ink pad, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. After embossing, I sponged a darker blush colored ink over the surface, attempting to create a subtle ombre effect.

A beautiful bloom from my stash, tiny punched butterflies, and Bible verse from ODBD's "Porch" stamp set finishes my simple design.

If you've come here from Sandee's blog, you're hopping along just fine! Since I'm the last person in the hop, I'm sending you on to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog.

Thanks so much for hopping with us today, and be sure to join us Saturday for Our Daily Bread Designs Fourth Anniversary hop!

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style--Think Spring!

We're "Thinking Spring" at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store this weekend...thinking and longing for it! My card has Spring written all over it...crisp, fresh green, and rich brown--dirt brown!

LaBlanche's Silicone "Two Rabbits" are just waiting to leave their burrow and frolic in the sunshine. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with Copic Sketch markers.

JustRite Spellbinder "Nested Oval Medallion" dies were used to cut the image panel and framed layer.

Did you notice the faint background? I used JustRite's new "Harlequin Script Background" stamp stamped tone on tone on the kraft decorator paper.

May Art's Velvet Ribbon, along with Natural String, adds a rough and smooth textured border. The accent buttons are from Bo Bunny's "Welcome Home" pack.

All of the linked supplies are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

As always, this is a Mystery Blog Candy, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style: Easter

We're bringing Easter designs for you in today's Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style hop. You can see Easter supplies under "Occasions" at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I've used Our Daily Bread Designs "Happy Easter" set, available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. Such a pretty daffodil image, and so easy to color.

Copic Sketch markers were used to color the daffodil which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. A mix of Copics and Prismacolor Pencils were used for the shading and background.

Spellbinder Petite Oval dies are a perfect shape for the long, slender bloom.

 Papers used today:

Kaisercraft "Sweet Nothings" (one fabulous pad, can't get enough of it!) and gleaming "Gold Silk" Mirror Cardstock.

To make this springtime card an Easter card, I decorated the inside of my design with a beautiful sentiment that is included in the "Happy Easter" set.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
