Old Fashioned Heart Valentine

I love heart shaped Valentines...I think my love for such harks back to elementary school when I received a beautiful heart shaped Valentine...the prettiest Valentine in the entire class!

If you have followed my blog, you already know of my love for Spellbinder's Classic Heart dies...I have added some "oldie, but goodies" pics below; but first let us talk about the new design above.

I began by using the Spellbinder's Classic Heart largest die, then cut a cream cardstock heart for the base of the design. I used the same size die and one smalled with Kaisercraft's "Ma Cherie" designer paper (gorgeous pad!) to cover the basic cardstock heart base.

The "ruffle" around the heart is made with Melissa Frances Vintage Neutral Crepe Paper.

A May Art's 1.25" Silk Ribbon bow made with an Original Bow Easy, and Prima "Say it in Crystals Hello Pastel" bling adds the final touch. You can write your loving sentiment on the back of the heart.

If you are loving the pink background, it's Tim Holtz 12 x 12" Color Core cardstock.

All linked supplies come from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Make certain that you check out the remainder of Valentine Week over at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog. The design team has come up with tons of inspiration for you! Also, Sharon still has blog candy available on her blog for the Season's Giving 2016 Blog Hop!

Now, as promised--additional past designs featuring the Spellbinder Classic Heart dies:

Thanks for stopping by and have a
wonderful week!
