Sweet Ballerina Valentine

Here is a fun Valentine or birthday card for young lady using American Craft "Valentine" decorator paper...

You can see the prints in the pad here...
I used some of the softest pink patterns in my design.

I love, love, LOVE Spellbinder's A Gilded Life "Tiny Dancers" dies...like many girls, I wanted to be a ballerina when I was young. These dies bring back memories of constantly drawing pictures and trying to fashion ballerinas from paper. And a note: these dies are not all that tiny...this one is 6 inches tall!

Special touches on my ballerina: I cut two ballerinas out and glued them together for sturdiness. I then made a lacy skirt for my ballerina by running a gathering stitch on the top of the May Art 1 1/2" Crochet Lace ribbon, then tying the gathered ribbon onto the die cut and securing behind. A small rose cut from May Art's 5/8" Adhesive Rosettes along with a bow of May Art's 1/8" Silk ribbon completes the ballerina's outfit as well as borders the decorator paper background.

The ballerina is then layered over a Spellbinder Classic Heart die cut with Thermoweb 3D Foam Strips. MME Lost and Found Record It Enamel dots add the final touch.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
