Life is becoming very busy for my husband and I. We will once again be moving overseas and I have been organizing and preparing for the move daily. I will only be posting a couple more designs before I will be forced to take a creative break.
Today's card features Stamp Simply Clear "Harvest" stamp set and the brand new Stamp Simply Steel "Harvest" dies that match the stamp set! LOVE having dies to match die sets...make for such an easy, crisp edge with no fussy cutting! There are new dies to match some of the other past Stamp Simply clear stamps sets...check them out at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Okay, back to the card. The base is created using a Tim Holtz "Woodgrain" stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks...specifically the "Vintage Photo" ink pad. Ranger's Mini Ink Blending Tool works great to apply the ink through the stencil to the cardstock...handy little tool!
I stamped the word "Autumn" with Versafine Onyx Black ink directly onto the background--the "Autumn" die from the die set could also have been used here. May Art's Burlap String was wrapped around the panel for interest; that same panel was then popped up with Thermoweb 3D Foam Strips for dimension when attached to the base.
The leaves were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then die cut with the dies from the matching die set. They were colored with Copic Sketch Markers, then covered with Ranger Clear Crackled Paint in Rock Candy.
Fun card...especially with the new dies!
