Hi Everyone...seems as though it has been so very long...finally settled in our apartment in Podgorica, Montenegro with our shipment unpacked (mostly!). So ready to get inky!
There are still summery temperatures here, but I'm waiting for it to cool down and for "Fall" to arrive. Stamp Simply Clear "Give Thanks" stamp set, along with the Stamp Simply Give Thanks Steel die set was perfect for getting back into the stamping groove.
Since we are once again living overseas, I wanted to make a somewhat flat and easy to mail design. Panels of creamy cardstock, Graphic 45 "Time to Flourish Patterns and Solids" 6 x 6" decorator paper, and JustRite A2 Stitched Rectangle and Banner dies make up the base of the card. The leaf and acorn (and Bible verse) are stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, then die cut with the Stamp Simply Steel dies. The banner, leaf, and acorn are popped up with pieces of Thermoweb 3D Foam Strips.
May Art's Ivory Burlap String ties it all together. I certainly love me some Burlap String...I have both the Ivory and Natural in full spools in my craft room. I use it for stringing banners, wrapping gifts...many crafty and paper projects. I love the rustic touch it can add.
All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Thanks so very much for stopping by-- I'm very excited to be back and I look forward to posting more often.

Deborah, this is beautiful, from the detail in the gorgeous leaf to the beautiful background. A great job!
So glad you are getting settled.
Thanks so very much Teresa! It felt great to get in and get creative! I appreciate your kind comments.
Hi Deb! I'm not even close to thinking about autumn because I do jot have even one Christmas card made yet this year! Yikes!
I love how you used the banner shape as a major part of the card. It could even stand with the leaves and Verse without a card base-- like a fancy tag! I love it!
It's good to hear you are mostly settled in. Feel free to teach us about life in Montenegro! You lead an adventurous life. Praying for your whole family. Please let me know if you need/want any craft supplies. I need to make a path to my table in my art room. I cant reach it yet!
