On My Mind

A simple card today using Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's clear "Thinking of You Rose" stamp set and "Rose" Steel Die.

The base layer is Kaisercraft's "Charlotte's Dream" decorator paper, edged with a swipe of "Golden Glitz" Delicata Non Tarnishing ink pad. I stamped the sentiment from the Thinking of You Rose stamp set directly onto the background using Tombow Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and Versafine Onyx Black ink.

The rose was also stamped with the Delicata ink and stamp platform onto Ranger Watercolor paper.  When you use the stamp platform, you can stamp numerous times in the same spot--so your golden image comes out perfectly stamped-- all ready to color.

Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Iced Spruce, and Peeled Paint) were used to watercolor the rose image. The rose was then die cut, a May Art's 1/4" Silk Ribbon tied upon, and adhered to the card background with Thermoweb 3D Foam Strip pieces.
