National Coffee Day Blog Hop 2018 & Blog Candy!

Today is National Coffee Day Blog Hop and The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is one of the sponsors! So that means we are bringing you some fun coffee themed designs and offering a sweet extra-- blog candy!

Leave a comment on this post telling me YOUR favorite coffee flavor/drink by midnight, Friday, October 5th, and I will randomly choose a winner. The winner will then be able to choose two items from the Stamp Simply clear stamps and steel dies! The winner will be announced here--on the Dream in Color blog-- Saturday, October 6th.

Let me show you my coffee designs for today, and be sure to use the links below to visit the other designers for Stamp Simply who also will be giving away blog candy!

I began by stenciling Tim Holtz Layering Stencil in "Holiday Knit" onto a cardstock panel using Dreamweaver Embossing Paste. After the paste had dried, I dabbed some Delicata Non Tarnishing Golden Glitz ink.  To mute the color a bit, I added a watered down wash of Dina Wakely Media Gesso over the stop of the panel.

I die cut the coffee cup using Stamp Simply's "Coffee or Tea?" Steel die, then stamped it using Stamp Simply's new "A Godly Man" (pine boughs) and Stamp Simply's new "Farmhouse Christmas" (joy sentiment) and the Delicata gold ink. I once again added a whitewash of the watered down gesso, then adhered it to the embossed base using Thermoweb 3D Foam squares.

The poinsettia is die cut with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia. It also received gold ink on the edges, and the white wash of gesso. Micro beads from my stash act as the center of the bloom, as well as little accents on the coffee cup-- adhered with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue.

All linked product is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

After you leave your comment here, be sure to visit both
Holly and Sharon's blogs...
they are also giving away the sweet treat!

Thanks so much for stopping by, refill your cup, and enjoy
the rest of the blog hop!

Your card is just beautiful in the shades of white. I love the BG you created for it. The die cut poinsettia is so very pretty, too.

I confess to drinking pumpkin spice coffee all year long. I stock up on it every fall so that I have enough to last! ;)

Hi Deb! How fun getting all these nice comments on your blog, huh? It's a real treat for sure. We also feel like we all got a treat with your sweet card. I'm AMAZED at how fun this card turned out. For a card that doesn't have a whole lot of varied colors, you did such an amazing job making the background POP with texture and personality. Great job. You really showcased the Stamp Simply stamps well. They're awesome stamps, and Sharon is an absolute angel. I'm SO blessed to have her sponsor us at Word Art Wednesday, and I welcome you to link up with us there any time you can. It's always Anything Goes, and I will always love having you link up to play along. Thanks again for this fabulous inspiration. Have a blessed week!
