Happy Father's Day

Hello, and Happy Father's Day to all of those wonderful men in our lives that have raised us and continue to raise our families!

My design for today uses Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's "Lower Michigan" clear stamp set and the matching "Lower Michigan" steel die set. Perfect for that "Mitten Dad" waiting to get out to the cabin and enjoy the out of doors!

The decorator paper used here is perfect for a cabin, rustic feel. It is Echo Park's "Little Lumber Jack." LOVING the checks and outdoorsy theme!

The Lower Peninsula was die cut with the Stamp Simply die out of the tree paper, as well as two other card stock die cuts. It was all glued together and then layered off set onto a black cardstock Lower Peninsula die cut. 

The star and arrow were also die cut using the Lower Peninsula die set. Fun to find your specific place on the state and mark it!

The "mitten" was then mounted onto a layered background of black, white, and check decorator paper.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Lower Peninsula" stamp set with Versafine Onyx black ink and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Barn Door. The sentiment was then die cut with a Spellbinder Classic Square die and mounted on the cardtop with Thermoweb 3D Foam pieces. Scor-Tape was used throughout.
