Fresh Springtime Greetings to you featuring Stamp Simply stamps, dies, and product! Loving the sentiment greeting, it certainly is feeling fresh and beautiful in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our snow has almost fully melted, with more lawn than snow showing. Eagerly awaiting the butterflies to arrive!
The base of this card is made up from watercolor paper, with the top panel receiving texture from Sizzix Tim Holtz' new "Woven" 3D Texture Fade embossing folder. What a fabulous embossing folder...it has marvelous detail and adds so much to a CAS card.
The sentiment is from Stamp Simply's "Typewritten Year Round Greetings," stamped with Versafine Claire Morning Mist ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die.
The butterflies are created by Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlet Brushstroke Butterflies dies, cut from watercolor paper. I then watercolored them with Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Oxide inks, and spattered with Windsor and Newton White Gouache. Delicate, but very fun to paint and put together.
A border of May Art's Burlap String (cream no longer available, other colors found HERE) finishes the design.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy Mother's Day!

Hi Deb!
Still snow on the ground in MAY?! We are having full-on summer temperatures here in Central Florida! We have had Monarch butterflies hatching like crazy!
These are such lovely butterflies! I especially love the colors you used on the top butterfly! I hope you will soon have a beautiful spring! (Or do you go straight to summer?)
❤Traci
Hey Traci! YES, still have some visible snow banks in our town. Almost gone, though! Love to hear you are experiencing the butterfly hatch! Now, send some up North! Have a great week! Thank you!
This is absolutely beautiful! I am going to have to grab those butterfly dies.
