Hello! Here today with a clean and simple Father's Day card using Stamp Simply stamps and product. Layering a watercolor die cut over a bit of watercolor background makes for a subtle background.
I began by applying Daniel Smith watercolors to a wet background watercolor paper panel, then blotted the watercolors with a piece of paper towel before drying. The blotting action dulls down the color and gives a misty appearance. Perfect for a evening sky after a sunset.
The tree line was created by painting different green watercolors on a wet waterpaper panel; after drying it was die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix "Treeline" die, available at Stamp Simply. It was then glued to the watercolor sky panel.
The entire watercolor panel was glued to a watercolor paper background, stamped with Stamp Simply's "Typewritten Year Round Greetings" stamp set using Versa Fine Clair Acorn ink.
