Hi there! The team at Stamp Simply is showcasing wreaths this week--here is my Autumn inspired addition!
The leafy die cuts are Tim Holtz Sizzix "Fall Foliage," cut from watercolor paper. I watercolored some of the leaves with watercolors, and used Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Spray Stain on others.
For the watercoloring, I die cut the clear watercolor paper first, then watercolor painted the leaves; the distress spray stained leaves were die cut from watercolor panels that had already been spritzed with the sprays. Of course it is not necessary to do both types of coloring; I just enjoy trying to find different ways to get some distressed looking color.
The metallic copper "wreath" is Luxury Pearlescent Metallic Copper paper, #80 text weight. It's thinner than regular cardstock, but in cases of layering, it's perfect. The lovely "Blessings" sentiment is Stamp Simply's "Blessings Word Die" die cut from another panel of watercolored paper. The finished card measures 5.5" X 5.5."
