Paper Pieced Fall Boho Leaves

 

Hello! One technique that I have always enjoyed is paper piecing. I've paper pieced the acorns and oak leaves on this card using Stamp Simply's Boho Leaves stamp and die sets, along with Carta Bella's Welcome Autumn decorator paper.

I began by stamping the acorn leaf image onto vintage white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored the branch with a brown Copic Sketch marker. Next step is stamping the leaves, acorn body, and acorn caps on three different decorator paper pad prints. The leaves and acorn parts were fussy cut into separate pieces. They were then glued onto the vintage white cardstock image. I added a few accents with a Copic Sketch marker. After the glue has had time to dry, die cut the paper pieced image with the Boho Leaves die.

The sentiment from the Boho Leaves set was stamped with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die. Fun!
