Welcome to the March Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop! I'm so glad that you were able to join us! If you've come here from Sherry Cheever's blog, you're in the right spot! If you're just happening by, please begin the hop at Sharon's No Time to Stamp/Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog. And...there's blog candy too! A fantastic assortment of Barb Schram's ribbon flowers, as well as ribbon from Sharon, will be offered. Read all about the candy requirements at the first stop!
My project today features October Afternoon's "Report Card" decorator paper, now available at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. What a fabulous pack of 8 X 8" paper...I LOVE the vintage prints--so very appealing and sentimental--they really bring back early school and childhood memories! All of the prints shown are from "Report Card," grounded with a basic black cardstock. I covered a plain, kraft, banded box purchased from the gift wrap section at Target, as well as a pencil box, for my project today.
Here's a closeup of the top of the box. I fashioned an apple from the dp, then oval cut the School Days sentiment (included with the Report Card pad) with Spellbinder Petite Oval dies. After completing the top, I brushed satin ModgePodge over the top, hoping to simulate the appearance of a blackboard.
The sides of the box are layers of the dp pad, layered over a crimped black base. The panels of ABC's, vowels, definitions, and handwriting samples are all from the Report Card dp pack--like I said--fun, fun, fun!
The pencil box was covered with scraps from the Report Card pad, dressed up with a black twill bow (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) and gift tag to that special teacher.
JustRite's Brayton Font (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink onto cream cardstock, made up the gift tag.
I'm the last person on the hop...I hope that you have enjoyed our projects! We look forward to providing inspiration and ideas-- for YOU!
I LOVE these teacher themed creations of yours! Gorgeous... thanks!
