can't you just smell the fresh air?!?
I began my card with an image from JustRite's new release, "By the Sea," available from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. This new set features four summery images, as well as four different border possibilities. Good news~~Sharon is RUNNING A SALE ON ALL JUSTRITE PRODUCT IN STOCK at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store -- 20% OFF entire inventory of IN STOCK items of JustRite!
I stamped the beach scene with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with numerous Copic Sketch markers. Spellbinder Classic Oval dies (also from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) were used to create the image panel and frame.
I just love the bluegreen tones of beach glass...this crisp gingham paper is October Afternoon's "Fly a Kite" (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store). It has an old fashioned feel, bringing back memories of a gingham sleeveless blouse from when I was young.
A bit of May Art's Ivory Crocheted Ribbon (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) adds a lacey border touch.
Now, for the best part! Sharon is offering up a sweet gift of blog candy! The Stamp Simply Basic Grey Cappella Kit will go to one fortunate person! Be sure to see all of the sweet details on Sharon's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and blog.

ReplyDeleteHi Deb~
ReplyDeleteI love this card! I think it is wonderful that you put a card of the beach directly across from a scripture referring to a sun-scorched land! Perfect!
I love the Gingham paper! I thought it was fabric! It is just fabulous! And, that stamp is so perfect! I was very pleased to see that you did not include a big circle of oil right off of the coast!
We are praying the oil will not destroy our beautiful gulf beaches and marine life here in Florida. I hope you don't mind, but if your readers see this...please pray, too, if you are so moved.
I love our beautiful beaches--they are almost as beautiful as you can color them, Deb!
He IS Able,
