We have a color challenge for this week's Stamp Simply Challenge (ssnotime154)--to use turquoise and orange. Here's the inspiration color photo...a boy's bedroom.
My design is in turquoise and orange, and features a young "fella" (complete with dirty knees!) that might just live in this bedroom!
This truly was a "Stamp Simply" design...I had colored the image previously, so was able to fashion a quick and easy card.
The card base is Stampin' Up Tangerine Tango, the striped decorator paper, KaiserCraft's "Devonshire" (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store).
I stamped the My Favorite Things "Pure Innocence" image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Stamp Simply Ribbon store), then colored it with numerous Copic markers.
Dimensional tape was used to mount the image panel over the crimped/jumbo eyelet borders (Stampin' Up).
Take a look-see at the rest of the Stamp Simply Challenge team's designs:

ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most adorable cards I've ever seen, Deb! Love that DP and that sweet image ... and those dirty knees are perfect! So cute!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous weekend!
very pretty. I was wondering if you would mind letting me know what paper you use when you color with Copics? I've had a bit of trouble with bleeding, and even the Memento ink has bled a little when I've used the Copics. thank you so much!!

Oh, gosh...he's so cute and love those "dirty" knees! That DP is so awesome! Thanks for letting me play with you all this month.
ReplyDeleteGreat image!! and the paper is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTo answer Helen's question above:
ReplyDeleteI use PaperTrey Ink Stamper's Select cardstocks for Copic coloring--I really love the heft and thickness! I have also had excellent luck with Neenah cardstocks.
There is a wonderful tutorial on Marianne's blog: I Like Markers, which paper tests different papers for Copic markers...find it HERE.
Hope that helps!
