Christmas Ornaments~~Home Decor

This week's Stamp Simply Challenge (ssnotime168) is calling for Christmas Ornaments to use for home decoration. Sharon presents the challenge: "Decorating for Christmas is a BIG thing. And giving small homemade gifts is another BIG thing. So today we are combining the two! Our challenge is to make a Christmas Ornament OR an item of Home Decor that could be used yourself or as a small gift to give. Who doesn't LOVE to receive ornaments and home decor items during the holidays! You may alter a store bought item, create something from scratch, or go in whatever direction your mind leads you! We'll just be anxious to see what you come up with! And if creating a gift item is not on your agenda right now, then go right ahead and make a card with some sort of ornament on it -- easy enough!!! Just have FUN doing it!!!"

Sounds like fun...in fact...this is a bit of a sneak peek as to what some of my friends will be receiving this year!

The KaiserCraft Christmas Ornament MDF shapes from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store fit just right for this project.
What a nice sized palette to work with...
they measure approximately 5 X 6.5."

I've really been enjoying this Graphic 45 "Christmas Past" paper collection. It features lovely, old fashioned prints, with vintage type postcard illustrations--ready to use for tags and images.

I layered up my ornament shape with a poinsettia made with Spellbinder's "Poinsettia" dies, directly over a panel of candy cane stripe die cut from Spellbinder's "Labels Thirteen."

Gold Stickles and micro beads, along with Webster's Pages flat back "Sparklers" button and Tinsel Trim Card, add some glimmer and gleam.

Sharon and Barb Schram also have some special ornaments to show you today as well...be sure to check them out!

Have a great Friday! Thanks so much for stopping by!
