We're featuring clear boxes over at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store today! Read the challenge, issued by Sharon:
"Dec 10 - ssnotime169 - Quick and Easy Gift Sets - Who doesn't love to receive a gift set of cards all neatly packaged up! Today the Design Team will show you samples of some quick, easy, but still FAB cards in coordinated sets presented in a Clear Box for a real WOW factor! Tie on a bow, add a belly band -- can't wait to see what you do! And for today's challenge you don't have to make an entire set of cards, just show us a quick and easy card that would work up easily into a boxed set -- and if you are ambitious and have the time, go right ahead and do the full set! Can't WAIT to see!!!"
My take on today's challenge is to create an easy, but very precious, Grandparent's gift! Take a look as this sweet little gal, my great niece Sonya, all dressed up for a picture for Grandma and Grandpa!
This is actually not a card per se...it is a layered panel patterned after a photo frame. It has a stand attached to the back that allows it to stand as a frame.
My designer paper choice was drawn from the color of the little velvet jumper on Sonya in the photo...Basic Grey's Jovial Paper Pad was a perfect match!
A three pattern mix was used, die cutting layers with Spellbinder's Mega Nestabilities Curved Rectangle, Classic, and Beaded Oval dies.
May Art's 3/8" Red Metallic Velvet decorates both the frame (plus a Bow Easy) and clear box with glimmer and glitz. The two berry red flat backed buttons are Webster's Pages "Sparklers." JustRite's "Merry Christmas" sentiment comes from their new cling set, "Simple Blessings."
All of today's supplies can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
