Grandbabies...what a joy! We are so thrilled with our two:
18 month old Little Man and 4 month old Little Miss!
Since we live so very far from these two precious little ones, I've decided to try to make it a priority to send them little reminders
of how much we love them. They both are pretty small yet, but hopefully within a few months or a year, they will be excited to receive an envelope to open from Grandpa and Grandma
from the mail.
Both cards are made using JustRite's clear Samantha Walker "Buntings and Banners" stamp set and custom dies. I began by stamping the sentiment directly onto the background using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Both designs were made using Carta Bella's decorator paper in Baby Mine Boy and Baby Mine Girl. This paper has fabulous patterns with rich colors. I have it in the larger 12" x 12" size as well, and am gearing up to use it to make the little ones banners for the little ones' nurseries.
The difference in the two cards are accents...our Little Man is very interested and notices things immediately...I didn't want to add anything that he could easily peel off and put in his mouth. I used the dies from the banner set to make a couple of paper buttons, then used May Art's Bakers Twine to accent one.
Our Little Miss is still quite young and won't be handling her card, so I added a border of May Art's 1/4" Crochet Lace and some Lost and Found Record It! Heirloom Enamel Dots.
To note: I used Sakura's Quickie Glue Pen on both cards to glue the banners on and 1/4" Scor Tape to tape on the lacy border. I also wanted to mention that since I am mailing these overseas, I wanted to make certain that they were fairly flat and a regular size to avoid additional postage.
All of the supplies used today are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
I would really encourage you to check out the sale at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store on the JustRite Samantha Walker stamps and dies; they're all on sale now for 50% off! The stamps and dies used today can be purchased separately or as a BUNDLED SET. Her sets have so many useful sentiments that can be mixed and matched for so many occasions!
Have a great Wednesday and rest of your week! Thanks so very much for stopping by!
