Love*JOY*Peace Snowflakes and Something Sweet

Some glimmering snowflakes with a background of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks for you today.  Also included is a lovely sentiment from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store along with one of their new Fishtail Sentiment Banner dies.

I began with some Ranger Watercolor paper; using my Ranger Craft Mat and Ranger Mini Blending Tools, I inked up the watercolor paper with Tim Holtz Distress ink. I covered most of the panel with Faded Jeans, and just a smaller portion of Salty Ocean to act as a highlight for the future sentiment.

Tim Holtz Layering "Crossed" Stencil  was placed over the ink, and a baby wipe was used to lift some of the distress ink off of the panel. I also sprayed the panel with water to lift ink and distress the panel even more. A bit of the Faded Jean ink was spattered onto the background to add even more interest.

I die cut three Spellbinder's "Create a Flake Six"  snowflakes out of white cardstock, then covered them with Stampendous Ultra Fine Translucent glitter using Tombow Aqua glue. I like the Aqua glue as it dries clear and does not yellow with glitter.

After the snowflakes were glued to the background, I stamped my sentiment from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's "O Christmas Tree" stamp set, using Versafine Smokey Gray ink. I die cut the sentiment with Stamp Simply's Fishtail Sentiment Banner die, and added a bit more glitter to the words with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. The sentiment was then attached over the lighter ink colored portion of the background with Thermoweb 3D Foam pieces.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I like looking at postings on blogs. Your blog today is a good example of why. If the artist explains how they created the card, as you did with your beautiful creation, it's easier to read and access the instructions. Thanks for the chance to win. Happy Thanksgiving.

I also prefer blog posts. Your card today is just beautiful. I love the simple elegance of it.
As Darlene said, a blog post lets us follow your process. It also seems more personal. Thanks for sharing your talent with us and for the chance to win.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

I prefer blog posts. I especially like when the post talks a bit about how the project was made and items used. Love your projects! Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Blogversary and thanks for the chance to win!

I have to agree--I prefer blog posts. It's easier for me to have the instructions written out than just watching and taking notes. I've enjoyed all your creations. And thanks for the "blog candy" (Stamp Simply is one of the few places where I shop). Happy Thanksgiving from a Canadian neighbour.

I too like blogs, especially for new techniques. I also get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.

Gorgeous card! I love the beautiful snowflakes and the background you created!

I prefer blogs. I enjoy taking a look at the blogs and finding people whose style I love. Always a treat to see card techniques or tutorials I'm interested in, or just cards that I admire for inspiration!
I am on FB quite a bit but find it hard to keep up there, and I am on IG occasionally.

I enjoy reading blog posts with step by step directions. I also like it when people indicate the paper and stamps used. I have purchased many 6x6 pads as a result of seeing someone’s post. The background on this snowflake card is beautiful!

I get most of my inspiration from YouTube, those I really like I save to my Pinterest so I can go back and see it again! I also read the blogs and love the instruction. Thanks for showing your lovely snowflake card!

Great card & instructions today! I tend to look at blog posts most, due to having easily referenced instructions. Occasionally, a YouTube video link is needed if the technique used is new to me or I can't seem to master it. I do not use Facebook or Instagram. Love your blog & thanks for sharing!

Pretty and peaceful card. I like the sparkle. I like blog posts the best. I pin projects to Pinterest if I want to make them. If something is complicated I like to watch YouTube videos.

Wow, love this sparkly peaceful card and congratulations on 10 years! I still enjoy viewing blog posts in addition to Pinterest and occasionally Instagram. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us- hugs!

Such a pretty and peaceful card! Congratulations on 10 years! For card inspiration, I prefer blogs, although they don’t seem to get the traffic as in The past. Sometimes it takes Instagram to get your attention!

I am so torn! I really enjoy blogs - lots of room for detailed discussion about the latest, greatest creations. But Youtubes are also fab for the visual appeal - especially when it comes to learning - I'm a visual learning!

But overall, I love all mediums, and love to continue to learn & be inspired!!

This is my first visit to your blog (I'm not into Instagram and not much into FB). After scrolling back through some of your older posts, I am now going to subscribe to your blog. Love what I have seen. Beautiful.

My apologies!!! I forgot to comment on your card! I love snowflakes and this crisp, cool card with those gorgeous snowflakes is truly lovely! I look forward to checking out your blog again. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, that is truly a wonderful accomplishment! I myself hope to start my own blog in the coming year and really get into making a whole lot more cards as I've been doing lately and loving it. What a great form of expression is card-making, because we give to others our art and we have the joy of knowing we bring encouragement to others by creating, what could be better!!! I look forward to seeing your next card upload here on your blog and also looking at past blog postings, what fun!!! Blessings, Joanne

WOW, 10 years! Thank you for your years of sharing. I definitely prefer blogs -- I like to see all the associated pictures of the project, instructions, and material lists. It's easy to clip and save information so I don't "lose" a card I like.
