Floral Thoughts and Prayers

Hello! Here today with a couple of simple, yet pretty, floral cards for some of our elderly friends who are not able to get out often in winter weather. I think that they will appreciate the colors and reminders of spring; even though months away on the calendar.

I began by adhering the collage paper to white cardstock using Ranger Distress Collage Medium. To make your project quicker, you can create numerous panels using the collage medium in advance, so no dry time when you are creating. After the panels dried, I spattered them with watered down DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Iced Espresso. These spatters add just a touch of glimmer to the panel.

Inside of coral card:

I mounted the image panel onto a larger piece of Ranger watercolor paper, then heavily distressed the edges for a ragged look. The panels were then adhered to watercolor paper bases using Scor-Tape.

The sentiments inside the two cards were stamped with Versafine Smokey Gray ink and a Tonic Stamp Platform. The stamp platform assists with achieving a clearly stamped image, sometimes difficult on watercolor paper.

Inside of the roses card (oval die tag, similar HERE):

The ribbon treatment on the coral card is from the Stamp Simply Living Coral Sampler; the green ribbon is May Art's 3/8 Solid Two Tone Ribbon. The bows were both created with an Original Bow Easy.

All linked product is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!
