Brand New Michigan Release from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

Hello and welcome to the brand new Lower Michigan release from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! "Lower Peninsula of Michigan (the Mitten)", "Michigan Facts," and "Lower Peninsula of Michigan" steel die set.

These new stamps and dies pair beautifully with the "Upper Peninsula" clear stamp and "Upper Peninsula" steel die sets.

Here's my 5.5 x 5.5" card for today using all of the Michigan sets: Michigan Facts, the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and both matching die sets:

I began by stamping the robin, fish, and deer from the Michigan Facts stamp set onto cardstock. I colored the images with Copic Sketch markers, then masked the images to prepare the background. I ink blended with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and a Ranger Mini Blending Tool over the panel, then spattered then with water. After the panel dried, I peeled up the masking paper to reveal the images and did touchups around the images where needed.

The Upper and Lower Peninsula were both stamped on card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, great for Copic coloring, then colored with Copic Sketch markers. They were die cut with the matching dies, then layered upon additional die cut shapes to create dimension.

I stamped the "Michigan" from the "Michigan Facts" stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink (best for crisp, clear sentiments) onto cardstock, then die cut it with a Spellbinder Oval die.  The "pleasant peninsula" sentiment, also from "Michigan Facts" stamp set is stamped then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks so much for stopping by and viewing the new stamps that complete our great state of Michigan! Look for additional ideas for the sets at the Stamp Simply blog. I will also be back with some more Michigan designs this week.

Hi Deborah!
I may have missed something, but are they releasing a "State Stamp" every time? These would be great for a geography class's party or book report!
