Chicken Birthday

Hello! Don't we all have that ONE FRIEND who absolutely loves chickens? Maybe they raise them, maybe they love eggs...maybe they just like the idea of living on a farm. I have the perfect design for a birthday card for that specific person today, using stamps and dies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Farmhouse Series:

I began with base layers of Graphic 45's "Farmhouse" 8 x 8" decorator paper.  There are also ephemera cards and tags to match. This paper pad is just terrific with Stamp Simply's Farmhouse Series...made for each other! The layers are adhered with Scor-Tape.

I stamped the birthday sentiment using Stamp Simply's "Farmhouse All Occasion Greetings," along with some crisp Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then die cut it with a Stamp Simply "Fishtail Sentiment Banner Die" to cut it out. I grabbed some Tim Holtz Distress Antique Linen ink, watered it down, then spattered the tag for a speckled egg effect.

The chickens were stamped using Stamp Simply's "Farmhouse Signage" clear stamp set and the coordinating "Farmhouse Signage Steel Die" set.  Both the tag and chickens are popped up with dimensional tape over a border of May Art's 1/2" Woven Burlap Ribbon.
