Welcome and Happy Saturday! I'm here to share a sympathy card that I created for an exchange with my stamping group.
The card base is made up of watercolor paper. I really enjoy using watercolor paper for my cards as it provides a lovely, substantial feel to the card.
The butterflies are stamped on regular cream cardstock using Stampin' Up's "Butterfly Brilliance" cling stamp and die sets and Memento Gray Flannel ink. They are colored with Copic Sketch markers and coated with a clear "Zig Wink of Stella" clear glitter pen.
After die cutting the butterflies, they were then mounted on a Spellbinder Long Rectangle die panel with dimensional tape.
The sympathy sentiment is from Stamp Simply's "Typewritten Year Round Sentiments" clear stamp set, stamped with Versafine Morning Mist ink.
I adjusted a larger envelope to fit the card by cutting the original flap off and scoring another flap, adding a strip of decorator paper as a bit of interest.
Thanks for stopping by today;
I will be back tomorrow with a special event!

This is gorgeous! What great colors and I love the images! And chance you'd share how to make envelopes? I've wanted to know for a long time--but I hate puzzles!
Praying you are all well, Deb!
Thanks so much, Traci! I only cut down a pre made envelope to fit the card, but I can do up some directions soon in how to do so.
