Hi There! Playing with Tim Holtz dies and Stamp Simply stamps today...I really enjoy distress watercoloring die shapes...so fun to add different inky layers and spatters to create something with interesting depth of color.
This is a large card... 5" x 7." The base is created with watercolor paper, as is the poinsettias and greenery. The poinsettia die set is Tim Holtz "Festive Bouquet." I began by smooshing numerous Tim Holtz Distress and Distress Oxide inks on the watercolor paper, drying between layers. I also spattered the sheet with spatters of spray ink and Tim Holtz Mica Spray. After die cutting the Festive Bouquet shapes, check to see if any further inking is needed to make each layer shape POP before gluing them together.
I then stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Stamp Simply's "Jesus" stamp set with Versafine Claire Pinecone ink, then die cut it with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die.
A smattering of Kaisercraft Rhinestones adds the final touch.
Linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
I hope that you enjoyed today's project.
Thanks for stopping by.
