Hello! I'm here today with another card created with Stamp Simply's new release, "Happy Day Iris" clear stamp and die sets. I do love this decorator paper as well, also available at Stamp Simply: Craft Consortium "Ink Drops Candy." The colors are over the top and vibrant...perfect to offset florals!
I began by stamping the iris onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with Copic Sketch Markers. After coloring, I die cut it with the Happy Day Iris die.
The sentiment panel is cut from cardstock using a Spellbinder Nestabilities Oval die. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Happy Day Iris stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto the panel, then heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder. I also embossed a gold border around the oval panel by simply rubbing the Versamark pad on the edges, and dipping them into the gold embossing powder.
The iris is mounted on the background with dimensional tape, and a border of May Art's Metallic Gold String adds the final touch.
