Mother's Day

Hello! I have an easy to create, yet FULL of texture Mother's Day card for you today featuring products from Stamp Simply.

The beautiful floral image is Stamp Simply's "Pretty Poppies," die cut with Stamp Simply's "Pretty Poppies" steel die. I stamped the poppies onto watercolor paper using Versafine Claire Morning Mist ink, then water colored it with Tim Holtz Ranger new Salt Water Taffy Distress and Distress Oxide inks. The new Salt Water Taffy color pairs so well with Bundles Sage Distress ink! The blooms were then die cut with the Pretty Poppies die--I also cut two extra bloom die cuts to be able to glue all three die cuts together to create more of a dimensional shape.

The bloom was layered over a background panel that was embossed with Sizzix Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fades Doily embossing folder. What a gorgeous embossing folder! The pattern is so deeply etched and enhanced...it truly looks like real lace. I used watercolor paper, and lightly misted it with water before running the paper and folder through my Spellbinders Platinum machine.

The sentiment is from Stamp Simply's All Occasions Sentiments Set One. It is stamped with the Versafine Claire Morning Mist ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die before being adhered to the card.

Soft and pretty, easy to mail!

All linked supplies are from Stamp Simply.
