Hello! Here to show you a small Christmas exchange gift that I made for our Christmas party with the church ladies. It's a mixed media done on a 6 x 6" wood panel from Amazon, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix products along with an old hymnal music page that has fallen apart.
The background of the panel is covered with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Wallflower Wallpaper (12 x 12" pad) along with strips from the "Beautiful Savior" hymn. The paper and music were adhered to the wood panel using Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium. I also coated the top of the panel with Collage Medium before adding some distress marks using Versafine Clair Acorn ink and white acrylic paint.
The butterfly is cut using a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tattered Butterfly Bigz die. I cut the butterfly from the Wallflower paper pad, then cut two additional butterflies from watercolor paper and glued all three layers together. The antenna is a Tim Holtz Mini Paperclip fashioned into shape.
Fun project! The recipient loved it! Hope it inspires you to "mix" things up a bit!
