Back to School
It's that time of year again! Crisp temperatures, early sunsets, and BACK TO SCHOOL!
Even though this little gal (My Favorite Things "Pure Innocence") appears to be quite contemplative about the idea, I am certainly looking forward to this new school year!
I saw this week's SFYTT sketch over at Jen del Muro's blog, and thought it would be perfect for my design today.
These fun papers today are all from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store: ABC papers and red polka dots from October Afternoon's "Report Card," and olive argyle (when I was a girl, I had a knit dress with almost these exact colors and print) from Graphic 45's "A Proper Gentleman."
Spellbinder's Classic Circle dies (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) were used to layer the image, along with "Assorted Fresh Fruit" Spellbinder Shapeabilities for that all important apple for the teacher.
I hope that you've enjoyed my design for today. Have a great week
whether you are in school or not!
Such a cute image-love the dotted apple. Cute and pretty card.
ReplyDeleteShe's totally adorable Deb, love your apple, way too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh Deb~
ReplyDeleteYour card makes me want to be going back to school myself! I love the beginning of the year! So much hope so much excitement!
Your card is perfect! I love the "fabric" from my dress, too! (The one in the back.) The colors are wonderful.
Dear Lord, May EVERYONE going back to school have a blessed year ahead of them, getting through one day at a time, with Him. In the Name of Jesus. Amen!
Deb, you are the best!
He IS Able,
Traci S.
It is so beautiful, congratulations. I like the colors. I am painting through synesthesia which makes me see colors when I hear names and numbers. These colors I transform in paintings. Your name Deborah has for me nice colors, such as light green with some light brown ribbons, and a little redish yellow.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, I love the richly colored papers you chose, and her back to school outfit is A+ adorable!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, your card is being featured on the MFT Blog today as part of Our Favorite Finds!
